I'm 33 weeks now and am wondering if its true that with first pregnancies babies tend to be late??

BB My DD was 5 days early.

NotAnOtter · 01/10/2007 12:57

my first was early
other 4 late

scorpio1 · 01/10/2007 12:58

first 3 days early
Second 6 days early

Hoping to continue the never hitting 40 week trend this time!

I read that the stats are only 25% first babies arrive on time! Didn't say what % early or late though!

my sister was 2 weeks early with her first , i was induced a week early. my second was born on her due date.
ask the women in your family, if they go early, late or on time, it sometimes seems to follow.. we were all early or on time babies

i would relax , wait and put your feet up whilst you can !

Ds was 40+9.

I believe it's more to do with how long you gestate for. Everyone gestates for a different period of time, just like peoples' cycles differ in length.

My sis dc1 was 40+14 and dc2 was 40+22. I think we like to hold onto our babies!
