Clear blue digital week indicator accuracy help

Hi everyone,

I’ve just taken a clear blue digital which has come up at 2-3 weeks but I am 7 weeks since my last period.

I have panicked a lot about this pregnancy in general and should have got a 3 + - how accurate are the week indicators in your experience ? X

Hi HGwarrior. I wouldn't worry too much. Many things can affect the result. If your urine was slightly dilute or you didn't hold it in the urine long enough... I googled it. The clear blue test shows less than 3+ weeks if the HCG in your urine are below 2753. Between weeks 6 and 7 the typical lower end of average for HCG is roughly 1000 - 7000. So you were maybe lower end of normal at 2000 but doubling daily so 4000 then 8000 - it's just variability in urine samples and between pregnant women. Do you have a scan booked? Even a blood test could ease your mind?

Congrats @HGWarrior, I'm in the exact same position as you!!

@chatwithme that is so helpful thank you...I also showed 2-3 weeks but I think I'm around 6/7...I have booked an early scan for 2 weeks time so hopefully I will have some reassurance then as I'm currently stressing over every little thing! X

Mine said 1-2 and I'm 19dpo. I think I they must be crap tbh.
I've gotta ring back in a week after doing another test as I did have some spotting.

It's such a stressful time isn't it

Nottherealslimshady · 28/07/2020 21:00

How did you guys get early scans booked?

HGwarrior · 28/07/2020 21:03

@Nottherealslimshady I’m paying for an early scan because I am so worried about this pregnancy x

Good luck at your scan HGwarrior!

Clearblue has always accurately predicted when a pregnant has been viable or non viable for me. That being said pretty sure the instructions state they aren't reliable after 6 weeks because high level of hcg can then make the test lines weaker - that's why women who are 9 months pregnant can get a BFN on a test

HGwarrior · 29/07/2020 10:42

@ivfdreaming I am over 6 weeks from my last period I am really struggling with anxiety with this pregnancy due to initial faint lines and now this so now sure if HCG is progressing as it should.

I am living on my nerves and Constantly checking for blood I’ve had lots of twinges but no bleeding so far and having had HG twice this is too easy for me so I fear the worst and I really can’t wait to confirm either way what is going on with my
Body.

Thanks for all your replies mumnet is a great

Well my scan today I’m meant to be 7 weeks but so tiny Sonographer unable to measure so clear blue likely to be right 😢, I’m back again next week and will update a tiny flicker was observed but I don’t hold out any hope 💔

So sorry to hear that HGwarrior. It's such a disappointment. Do try again asap while you're most fertile. I have my fingers crossed for you. Look after yourself Wine
