I've had this confirmed at 20, 24 & 28w I've been told a girl I'll attach the potty shot. I hope it's a girl how often do they get it wrong? What are your opinions and experiences

Defo girl

It is never 100% certain, and they're more likely to be wrong if they've said girl than if they've said boy. That said, the smart money is on a girl.

Thank you, I've got a little boy so I am so excited to have a girl but it also worries me how wrong they can be

is there any reason why you are worried if they have got it wrong? this is the only downside to getting gender scans, some arent bothered at all either way but others really are and can make them feel a certain way. dont let this fear ruin the rest of your pregnancy - and that looks like a girl to me Smile

A healthy baby no matter what is my priority and no reason just heart is set on a girl I have a son and I'm absolutely over the moon that it has been "confirmed" to be a girl, first granddaughter and all that. I've just seen a few posts recently where they've gotten it wrong and it's been a bit of a shock tbh

If you’ve had 3 scans at the gestations you mention, presumably undertaken by qualified sonographers, I’m not sure what expertise us randoms on the Internet can give you!

They only way to know for certain, other than waiting until the baby arrives, is a blood test checking the baby’s DNA.

I definitely think it looks like a baby girl. I had a boy first and when got told boy felt more confident they were right as could see obvious boy bits. With my 2nd I found out yet was thinking they might be wrong as missed something. I’m now 21 weeks with my 3rd and been told at NHS scan and a private scan it’s another little girl. I’m over the moon but there is still a little doubt in my mind that maybe they just missed something! I think they can never be 100% right but the technology is fab these days so I think most of the times they are right
