Ok so last month I had a CP (chemical pregnancy) which started as brown discharge at about 4 weeks 6 days so I mean yes I'm further along this time at 5 weeks 3 days but same thing is happening I'm having brown discharge, but it also happened with my son who is now 8 months old.
I'm just terrified it's happening again ! But I feel differently about this pregnancy when I had my CP I kinda new it was happening, the pregnancy tests I took were always so light they were barley visible but this time there extremely dark I guess I just want your story's if this has happened to you and everything's been ok just a bit of reassurance that I'm not miscarrying again :/ x

This happened to me twice. Once at 12 weeks and was sadly a miscarriage- second time at 9 weeks - and baby is asleep in her room.
I did feel differently the second time (Not sure if that is hindsight as brown can be common - but I’ve had it both ways) - but I was very worried until the scan.
Fingers crossed for you. Xxx

Sorry to hear that must of been difficult to miscarry so late on :/ but glad you had success the second time around :)

Yeah I mean like I said I did have this with my son at about the same time if I remember cuz I had an early scan at about 51/2 weeks but it's just more scary this time around because obviously I miscarried last month and it started this way. I just hope it's similar to what happened with my son rather than what happened last month :/ but can't help to over think it ! Might ring my gp see if I can get an early scan again !

Hi OP. I'm sorry to hear you're going through this. I know how worrying it is.

Just wanted to warn you that if you're less than seven weeks, they may not scan you. This is because it's around then that you can see what you need to see. Any earlier than that, and it's often not developed enough to be able to ascertain the viability.

I just wanted to give you a heads up in case your GP or the hospital operate that way.

Best of luck.

@Glitterandunicorns hi I have a scan booked for Friday I had the same thing with my son which I saw a heart beat at 5 1/2 weeks so hopfully will be the same thing this time fingers crossed ! But my doctors must operate differently to yours x
