Today on four occasions I have had a really sore, shooting pain in my stomach so bad it takes my breath away and makes me bend over, but only lasts seconds. I wouldn’t say it’s Braxton Hicks, I have been having these in the evening, tightenings this is a different sort of pain, I’d also say it’s different from SPD.
I’m now lying in bed and I have a dull ache in my back and top of my thighs...
This is my second baby but my first was delivered at 35 weeks via a section so I haven’t reached this far before nor have I laboured. I was just wondering if anyone else is getting this pain too...?

Hi OP, I'm 37+4 and had a couple of days about a week or 2 ago where I had something similar. For me, it started in my lower back then came round to the front like a really sharp pain in my bump that then radiated down into my groin/top of my left thigh.
It was painful, enough to take my breath away - not a tightening feeling like i usually associate with BH.
This happened a few times over the course of several days and then just stopped and I've had none since!

Hey @sel2223! I keep seeing your name pop up, sounds like we will both be meeting our babes very soon!
I have just been googling, suggestions include that it could be the baby engaging.. (has yours?) baby could be on a nerve. Or my personal fave, trapped wind 😂 here’s me worrying I’m in labour and it’s probably just that I need to pump! Isn’t pregnancy glamorous haha.

Hi @Jomum2020 I hope so, I'm finding these last few weeks a struggle and am never off google at the minute looking up every twinge and cramp!
I was told a week ago that baby was 3/5 engaged but it does feel like she's dropped a bit since the so it could be.
But then, I have also been pretty gassy this last week (sorry) so maybe it was just that 🤣

Have you been getting the leg/back ache too?

@Jomum2020 yes, pain across my whole lower back and sometimes shooting pain going down into my groin and left thigh (always the left side for some reason))
