Twins??

Does anyone think there are two on this scan. I have circled both below. The top one is the baby.

Not too sure what the bottom one is yet. This is a 7 week scan!

The nurse thought it was twins with the tummy scan, but then done an internal scan and couldn't find another one. Bare in mind I got up, went to the toilet and then had the internal scan so wondering if it could have moved behind the other one?

Oh not a clue! But what a nerve wracking wait. When are you due for another scan?

BeingATwatItsABingThing · 29/07/2020 12:21

I have no idea, sorry.

Hi! Hope you don't mind me hopping onto your post, did you end up finding out if you're having twins.

I just had my first scan, what's everyone's thoughts on this?? 1 baby or 2?? Only one sac

Twins??
ivfdreaming · 10/08/2020 10:47

What did the sonographer say????? Honestly the yolk sac can sometimes look like a second baby when the foetal pole is testing to form as they are 2 separate little things on the screen

Th197 · 10/08/2020 11:05

Hi! I still haven't found out, my 12 week scan isn't until next week. The sonographer actually thought it was twins with a tummy scan but then with an internal scan couldn't find another one so it's just been a waiting game really.

I don't really think it is twins anymore as on Wednesday I am 11 weeks pregnant and still don't really feel pregnant yet, bar from some sickenss. Obviously that could be completely wrong 🤣 it's so annoying not knowing.

The sonographer did say to me, to not be surprised if there was two when I went for the 12 week scan.

@ivfdreaming she said thinks it's probably just one, however still might be a bit to early to tell so next scan will be able to show a bit more.

Th197 · 10/08/2020 11:46

How far along were you at your scan?

Seems a strange thing to say. I've heard people say that early scans have shown one and then the 12 weeks scan has shown two!

I'm 11 weeks with twins but knew from 6 weeks as this is an IVF pregnancy

On a few of the threads/groups I'm on some people didn't find out until 12 weeks but I suspect these are twins that share a sac - mine have individual sacs and I was in maternity clothes from about 8 weeks and I have a very noticeable bump already
Kc2308 · 10/08/2020 21:52

Maybe around 5+3 but I'm booked in for 3 weeks time, so surely they would be able to tell around 8 weeks. 🤞🏻
