When did u get a 3+ on clear blue

I’m anxiously tracking as I’ve had three loses and it never got to 3+ Even when I carried to nearly 7 weeks. so waiting to test until I know it should be 3+ Just for peace of mind that things are progressing until I get to my reassurance scan next week at 6 weeks. I’ve 29 day cycles. I’m 18dpo today, I found out at 7dpo and clear blue jumped straight to 2-3 weeks at 14dpo the day before AF was due. Which was 4 days ago. When should I roughly expect a 3+?

My general rule of thumb is that if you got 2-3 weeks at 14DPO then double their lowest limit which for 2-3 weeks is 153 every 2 days - this should give you an idea of when you should reach a 3+ but bear in mind that it's not 100% accurate

14 DPO - 153
16 DPO - 306
18 DPO - 612
20 DPO - 1224
22 DPO - 2448
24 DPO - 4896

So I'd expect you to get 3+ by 23DO

sel2223 · 27/07/2020 10:50

Never. I'm now 37+4

Rainbowafterthestorm · 27/07/2020 11:04

I got:
1-2 weeks - when period was due
2-3 weeks - a week after period was due
3+ - two weeks after period was due

Tbh I wouldn’t trust the dates, I went for a nhs scan at what I thought was 8 weeks and I was put 10 days ahead of what I thought I was. The dates are known for not being exactly accurate. I bought some hcg cheap tests and felt more reassured by the line getting darker tbh.

2020wish · 27/07/2020 11:09

@Rainbowafterthestorm yea I’ve been using cheapies every day and the lines are good so it’s keeping me reassured for now. When I got pregnant with my daughter 10 years ago I took 2 tests at 5 weeks and that was it lol but after all the losses it sort of ruins the belief. These are my lines from day of AF being due.

They are definitely getting darker. Congratulations x

ivfdreaming · 27/07/2020 11:59

You've got good line progression there - I'm 9 weeks with twins and my cheapy test strips didn't get that dark. I got my 3+ at around 21DPO x

Darkstar4855 · 27/07/2020 11:59

2-3 weeks the day after my period was due. 3+ weeks exactly a week after that.

WhatWouldPennyDo · 27/07/2020 12:12

I didn’t get mine to change beyond 1-2 weeks, even though non-digital tests darkened. Now 28 weeks pregnant.

2020wish · 27/07/2020 12:20

@ivfdreaming even my line on clear blue was strong I think for 7dpo I was a bit shocked. Not as dark as they are now but not a proper squinter either. I’d love twins lol but not going to get my hopes up for that lol

@WhatWouldPennyDo did u test loads?

OP posts:
WhatWouldPennyDo · 27/07/2020 14:23

I did 3 normal tests (consecutive days starting the day my period was due), then a digital that gave 1-2 weeks. Did a digital the following week and the week after and no change in what it showed.

Buttercupsandroses · 27/07/2020 15:04

They are looking very strong op I have suffered a loss recently to and trying to build up the courage to try again

Bl0ndi3 · 27/07/2020 15:15

I hate the weeks test, if I were you I'd not bother worrying about it as you have amazingly strong lines and a good progression. Don't rely on a digital test to validate your pregnancy x

I spent half the day crying yesterday because that stupid test was still saying 1-2 weeks so believe me I get it but they're not that accurate and I've taken reassurance from the strong line progression I've had x

Darcy86 · 27/07/2020 15:30

I had 2-3 weeks at 18DPO and then waited a week, got 3+ weeks at 25DPO.

However I agree on what others have said about the line progression. Congrats!

ShouldEyeShouldntEye · 27/07/2020 15:37

I got 3+ at 21 dpo. Then miscarried. So even an earlyish progression to 3+ doesn’t mean much. Just try and enjoy each day and not dwell on what you can’t know, that’s what I learned from my experience.

Wireless77 · 27/07/2020 15:38

@2020wish, congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm copying here my post from another thread: "These Clearblue weeks indicator tests should be banned, they almost gave me a heart attack. With my previous pregnancy the weeks went up as expected, I miscarried anyway a couple of weeks later. This time I got 1-2 weeks on 11 dpo, a week later it went to 2-3 weeks as expected. I was expecting it to go to 3+ a week later as all my calculations showed my hcg should be over the 3+ threshold, still 2-3. No change next day either. At that point I was convinced it was over again, but went for a blood test. My hcg at this point was over 3,000 (Clearblue range for 3+ starts from 2750 something). Once I found out I did another two Clearblue tests to experiment. One came back 1-2 weeks and the other one 2-3 weeks from the same urine!! And the day after, the test still came back at 2-3 weeks. At that point I gave up and got another hcg blood test done a couple of days later, it was almost 10000 at that point! I never got to 3+! I read later in small print that you should only use first morning urine and that drinking may affect the accuracy of these weeks. For me it was wrong with the first morning urine too. I'm up 2-3 times every night to go to the loo, so perhaps that's the reason? My urine was not concentrated enough? But then again I got 1-2 weeks and 2-3 weeks from the same urine whilst my hcg was well over the 3+ threshold...". It can go either way, but don't trust these indicator tests. The only way to know for sure is a beta hcg blood test. I keep my fingers crossed for you!

2020wish · 27/07/2020 15:49

Thank you all for the replies. You are all right... I’m gonna try and just hold off. I’ve my first scan next week at 6 weeks for reassurance due to my precious loses. It’s just so sad that having previous loses can ruin what little hope/happiness I should have with such strong progression lines.

So frustrated that CB digital test keeps showing only 1-2 weeks pregnant for days and weeks. Why does it not show 2-3 or 3+?

PocoyoandEllie · 27/07/2020 16:49

My first and only test was a clear blue digital when I would of been 6 weeks and I got a 3+. I have PCOS and genuinely had no idea I was pregnant until I had been feeling so sick for 2 days and my husband told me to go and get a test. Still didn’t believe it and I am now 19 weeks pregnant.
