Unsure if waters have broken

I stood up and walked downstairs and had a small amount of clear odourless water.

I had tightenings before this and yesterday I had a big sore movement that felt like the baby "dropped"

There feels to be more pressure on my bladder etc

The baby is still moving a lot. There's no regular tightenings but when they happen they feel more intense

I'm only 35 weeks tomorrow

I think I would call the midwife. This happened to me with my first pregnancy, it was just a small gush which I ignored but later that evening my mucus plug came away. They examined me at the hospital and (memory hazy here) my ‘front waters’ (I think they called them) had broken. It’s the ‘back waters’ that are much more dramatic when they break. They kept me in overnight and then sent me home with antibiotics. I managed to rest up another week before the back waters broke and baby came. I was also 35 weeks. Definitely get checked out.

I might have mixed up my ‘front’ and ‘back’ waters (it was 8 years ago) but there are two, one is more gushy than the other... sorry, a midwife could articulate this for you better than me!

Please get checked out, OP - this happened to me, and the midwife confirmed my hind waters had broken. It's when your amniotic sac is damaged towards the top of your bump. You get a slow leak, but no massive rush of liquid. It's an infection risk so please do contact your midwife who'll either confirm or rule it out.

You can go in and they'll test the liquid. It happened to me at 36 weeks, I was leaking all day, but they said it wasn't my waters. Happened again a week later, this time i went into labour.

Thank you for the replies! I phoned the midwife and had to wear a pad and wait an hour see what happens. I only had normal discharge so she thinks it was just watery discharge.
