I've been having a couple of glasses of this sometimes since finding out I was pregnant a couple of weeks ago. Now my OH has made me think it's not ok. As it's not actually alcohol free. Google says should avoid. How disappointing

Well, pure orange juice isn’t alcohol free either but I bet you’re not avoiding that.

I really wouldn’t worry.

Birdy1991 · 25/07/2020 17:34

I wouldn’t worry, it’s 0.5% I think? Which is nothing in reality, as PP said juice can contain that. I think a whole bottle is something like 0.4 units and 1-2 units a week has been considered to not be harmful.

Umberta · 25/07/2020 17:40

Even bread contains that kind of amount of alcohol. Seriously, don't worry about this sort of thing, that way madness lies!! Also when these things say 0.5%, it's a maximum. In other words they can't guarantee it's less than that so they overestimate and say it's 0.5% when it can be much less.

MizMoonshine · 25/07/2020 17:55

0.5% alcohol is considered alcohol free. There is more alcohol in a ripe banana. You're fine. Drink up!

WeeScottishWife · 25/07/2020 17:59

The process of making most of these 0% drinks means that because they can't guarantee it is 100% alcohol free, they have to list it as 'under 0.5%".

Thank you all. I shall purchase a bottle tomorrow for Sunday lazy day!
