When did you get a positive test?

With my 1st I got a positive test when my period was a week late, had tested several times in the week waiting. All tests negative

With my 2nd I got a positive when I was 2 weeks late - went for a scan, according to LMP should of been 8 weeks, was 6 weeks and they said i must of ovulated later in my cycle. Had tested several times during the 2 weeks, all tests negative

With my 3rd I got a positive the day before my period was due. I only took a pregnancy test as I was feeling so terrible and wanted to rule it out

Ive been with my partner for 3 years now and we have been TTC for a while. I have PCOS so I know it's a struggle.

I'm 5 days late now and even though I've had several negative tests part of me is hoping it's just like the others and ill get my positive soon where as the other half of me is saying I'm not pregnant and stop getting my hopes up

What's everyone else's experiences been when waiting for a positive test?

When you say your period is late, are you expecting it to come on cycle day 28? With PCOS you often have much longer cycles so a more accurate way of judging when your period is due is to add 14 days on to your ovulation (ovulation often occurs much later than cycle day 14 with PCOS). Do you use ovulation tests?

I'm very regular, my periods always range from 28 to 30 days and I track them religiously.

I didn't know I had PCOS until I had a scan with my 2nd when the sonograoher showed me all the follicles on my left ovary. I get very hairy and spotty but I have regular cycles and eat healthy/am a healthy weight so when I found out about my PCOS it was a surprise but explained to me why id had so many miscarriges

If I go off a 28 cycle im 7 days late, going off a 30 cycle im 5 days late,

My 1st and 2nd I went off a 28 day, where as my 3rd I got a positive literally 13 days after id had sex

Everyone is different & all i can do is wait & see, hopefully someone has had expierience of this too

With my first pregnancy, I had a gut feeling and tested 3 days before my period was due . I had a strong positive using first morning pee. That ended in miscarriage at 9 weeks .

With my two successful pregnancies I tested both times the day my period was due ( I had no pms and suspected it ). Both times I got a strong positive, neither with first morning pee.

Did you track when you were ovulating? I was ovulating around the 3rd/4th March & took a test which turned out positive on the 15th March. My period was late I just had “a feeling”!
