Bed rest during pregnancy

Has anyone been prescribed bed rest by their doctor/midwife?
If so, how many weeks were you, how long for and what reason?

The problem with it is that it doesn’t really work for most things.

If you’ve got say an SCH then modified rest will reduce bleeding from it while you heal.

I’ve got a short cervix and am at risk of preterm labour. My consultant had told me to do modified rest because I’ll feel calmer but he has been clear that there is no evidence to support complete bed rest for any length of time, xx
