i've had 2 beautiful dc with each i had 2+ stone to lose after the birth, i was wondering if anyone has had the experience of putting on loads of weight in 1 pregnancy and not so much in another. i think i would like to have one more but am really put off by the thought of rapid weight gain again. i just seem to pig out when i am preganant

Difficult one. I was so ravenous throughout my first pregnancy that I would get the shakes if I didn't eat pretty much constantly.
Second pregnancy wasn't quite so bad.

Just eat as you would normally. You only need extra calories in the third trimester and even then I think it's only around 250 cals per day. Try to exercise (swimming/walking as others have said) although I'd imagine with 2 lo's you must be quite active already!

I think because you're so aware of it and worried about it you will probably be more careful. I think weight gain can vary widely between pregnancies. I only gained 20lbs first time (ds1 only 6lbs 4) but around 2 1/2 stones 2nd time (ds2 9lbs 3 and lots of fluid). Within a week of giving birth both times I had the same amount to lose to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight so just goes to show that even if you put on more you won't necessarily be left with more to lose.

If you want to have another baby I would't let this put you off!
