Fetus measures 6 weeks @ 11 week scan. Is there hope?

Calculated to be 11 weeks on Mo. I started wiping blood on Tue, went to A&E, been sent back home to return for a scan on WE. Scan found a 6 week old Fetus. Been asked to return a week later to see if there are any changes. Feeling left in limbo. Is this a silent misscariage or a miss-calc? I tested positive end of May ( last period 1st May) I can't see how this Fetus is still alive. Yet I can't help but hope, since I have only been spotting up to yesterday when I passed 1 clot. But only very light spotting again since. Is there any hope at all? Has anyone been through the same with the Fetus actually still alive in the end?

@MEveritt I'm so sorry you're going through this, it's so sad.
LMP isn't always accurate but the fact you got your BFP at the end of May means you have to be around 10 weeks now.

I had something similar. I don't know when exactly I conceived as I had been having irregular periods anyway, but I would have been at least 14 weeks as I had been in a different country to DP, the fetus was measuring 8+6, and even though it had a heartbeat they said there's no way it was a viable pregnancy with that much of a size discrepancy.
