I'm 27 weeks and have a anterior placenta I do feel baby move on a morning a bit but not a lot through day should I go get this checked or do you think it's because of having a front placenta I don't feel much as when I went for a 4d scan the baby was wriggling about on the scan and I couldn't really feel it so I've just put it down to the placenta x

If your not happy I would call them, they won't mind and I'm 31 weeks and I've been in twice and found every time I go in as soon as I hear the heartbeat and relax they start wriggling and it's also an opportunity to ask any questions you have Smile

If there's a change in movements then call for advice but if this is normal for your baby then try not to worry.

I'm 37 weeks with an anterior placenta and still don't really have a pattern. I tend to always feel her first thing in the morning and last thing at night but it's very hit and miss through the day as to whether I feel anything or not.

It's all about learning what is normal for your baby and being alert to any change. Bearing in mind though that baby is still teeny at 27 weeks with plenty of room to move around and change position. They can tuck up quite small behind that placenta.

I had a scan just last week at 36 weeks and baby was kicking like mad on the screen but I couldn't feel a thing as it was all behind the placenta.

I had an anterior placenta, you can't really feel every movement or have those dramatic movements but u can still feel something sometimes, I think just relax unless u notice no movements at all, I used to worry to until I found out about the placenta being in front and stuff. Enjoy your pregnancy mommy

Changes in movement are the most important thing, so if you've never really been able to feel big movements during the day then that's nothing to worry about. I also have an anterior placenta and only occasionally feel kicks when I'm up and moving about. If I lie on my left side for a long time then I can usually feel him kick eventually. My midwife said if I'm worried then lie on my left side for 2 hours and if I havent felt 10 kicks in that time then phone the hospital. I always feel at least 10 kicks within an hour.

I'm 26 weeks with anterior placenta. Baby moved basically all day yesterday hardly nothing today apart from a few light movements this morning and some this evening. I don't have a pattern so I wouldn't class mine as reduced movement. Ring up if your used to a pattern but to control my anxiety I think aslong as I've felt her move during the day then I'll keep calm and not ring. But like I said if you do have a pattern your sure of then ring up but if your used to random movement times then put it down to the placenta xxx

@Becky19922011 Never assume it's the placenta, please always get checked with any changes with movements! I also have an anterior placenta and I was in the hospital loads getting checked for reduced movements from around 26 weeks! Everything was always okay with baby thankfully but the midwife said the placenta will only cushion movements in the beginning. Once you start feeling baby move and kick properly, there's no reason why it should just stop. Xx

I have an anterior placenta as well and between 26-29 weeks my baby's movements didn't have a full pattern also some of the days i felt him very lightly. I went in and saw my midwife and the baby was fine and moving but i didn't feel anything but she confirmed the baby's position changed and he was with his back at my tummy which muffled the movements. I am 30 weeks now and the movements are stronger and very reassuring. We also went for a private scan and they confirmed exactly what the midwife said.
If you are concerned please do call the hospital to put your mind at ease.

I have an anterior placenta and I’m currently 39+5... baby never made it into a routine of moving. Throughout pregnancy he had quiet days, now he just moves all the time 🤣 if you are worried you must definitely call someone x
