Pregnant or cyst?

Hi
So I am new on here but really looking for a bit of advice. If anyone’s ever had a similar situation.
At the beginning of the year I had a coil put in, a few months later experienced bad pains and heavy bleeding. Saw my dr and she did tests and a scan which came back as saying I was pregnant...however they couldn’t locate it due to the amount of blood in my uterus. They located the coil with a tv scan and it was still in place, they also found a large cyst on my ovary. As time passed so did the pregnancy. I also had the coil removed as clearly my confidence in that form of contraception was gone. After a few months recovering after ongoing bleeding I went for a follow up scan for my cyst! This is where I am now confused.
At the scan she saw that my cyst on the ovary had gone....great I thought. However she then began questioning my cycles etc and she said that to her it looked like she could see a gestational sac (being an experienced epu sonographer). She said it would be very early days max 4 weeks. I have been really strict with hubby coming near me and making him wear condoms, checking them after etc. Also had what I thought was a period 2 weeks ago. She advised me to go home and take a pregnancy test. She said if I’m not pregnant then it could just be some other cystic tissue which isn’t anything to worry about. She showed me the scan image but I don’t really know what I’m looking at as I’m no professional.
I’ve taken a test and got a negative result. But I’m quite paranoid that what if it’s too early to test? Is this possible? When I google images (I know worst thing to do) what comes up as a gestational sac looks like what I saw and other things like cysts/fibroids look different.
My other question is, surely she would be able to tell them apart? Can they be confused?
I’m just curious as to whether or not I’m being paranoid Confused and should I just trust the negative result? Anyone ever had anything similar?

Hi @Bambi87 - wondering what was the result of this as I'm currently in a similar situation!

Thanks

4 POSITIVE pregnancy tests… yet apparently I’m not pregnant?!

Having a rollercoaster of a few days and honestly hoping someone has had a similar experience that can advise?

went for a long awaited (& saved up for) tummy tuck on Tuesday; compression stockings and hospital gown on, totally ready to go! For the nurse to tell me the urine sample I’d given had produced two positive pregnancy tests.
I’ve had a copper coil ‘in’ pretty much since my youngest (3 this month) was born.
i cried a lot. They couldn’t perform the surgery and I was sent home.

i’ve had some minor spotting, cramps and breast tenderness - thinking my period was starting as it was due now, 2 days ago.

Never assumed my coil could have failed.

explained this to GP
Light bleeding, positive results and copper coil. He got me a scan appointment for two days later.

took another two tests at home one normal and one clear blue “how many weeks” one. And both positive and 2-3 weeks, apparently.

had the external and internal scan today and was told they COULDN’T find a baby? but cannot confirm either way…
however, they can see cysts on my ovaries?
apparently these can cause the HGV and missing period, breast pain and cramps?

anyone else had a positive result or know someone who has but ISN’T having a baby?

my GP/nurse seem baffled and are referring me to a gynaecologist - but, I’m sure that appointment won’t be for a week or two.

I feel so confused, I don’t know if I’m pregnant or now & feel like my body is playing a practical joke on me.

many thanks for listening to me vent!
