I am not even 4 weeks yet. Super super early, and found out 2 days ago. I only tested because I was feeling so funny. I am getting very frequent hot flushes and then waves of nausea. Can this even be happening? I didn't get nausea or any symptoms other than period-like aches until about 7 weeks with my first. Definitely nothing this early!

I am wondering if this means that perhaps it's going to be a chemical. I've never had one before so I don't know if they seem any different? I hope it's not going to be bad news but but trying to prepare myself in case.

FluffyKittensinabasket · 14/08/2020 10:39

leaferty - is getting symptoms a good sign though? I’m 5 weeks and feel nauseous, grumpy and my boobs hurt. Some things I’ve read online suggest that many women do not get symptoms with a chemical. 🤞🏻

I’m 5 weeks now, every day I’m feeling a bit more hopeful. Booked in a scan for a couple of weeks.

Tiff94 · 14/08/2020 10:46

@leaferty I've had symptoms since before my AF was due. Started nausea hot flushes, car sick because of the movement. It could be just different to you last pregnancy. Try another test in a couple days to see if the line has changed when is af due are you late yet?

Thanks both.

I've done 5 million tests already! The line on the cheapies is still super super faint, you really have to strain to see it. It is quite clear, thoigh not super strong on frers. I've just ordered a load more cheapies and a couple of frer though so I can test daily and see if it progresses. I got a "pregnant" on a clear blue today. AF due tomorrow.

Finding out this early is annoying - if it progresses it's going to feel very very long!

Tiff94 · 14/08/2020 11:21

@leaferty I got really faint line son the cheapies while getting darker on the FREr and cb. I found out about 5days before AF and totally agree the lead up to AF is a killer not knowing for sure. If all tests are having a line faint or not that's a great sign.

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed. We didn't tjme things right this month (or so I thought!) so I was pretty surprised to get a positive test. Really, really, really hope it sticks.

Last time I tested daily with cheapies for the first few weeks and it was really reassuring see the line darkening so I will def end up doing the same this time.

FluffyKittensinabasket · 14/08/2020 11:50

The clear blue digitals are less sensitive aren’t they? In my little mind that’s a good sign as they won’t pick up hCG unless it’s a decent amount?

Happy to be corrected! Smile

Morning all. I'm 4+3 today and starting to feel a bit queazy. I've come to lay down for a bit and can hear my children downstairs having a row already. This may be a long 9 months!

Sexnotgender · 14/08/2020 12:31

Took ages to get a line on cheapies for me. FRER were pretty conclusive though. And a positive digital is a good sign.

Got a telephone appointment with midwife on Wednesday. Receptionist asked if I was sure I’d had a positive test😂 like yip, about 25...

Mandy133 · 14/08/2020 14:51

Hi Ladies,

I joined Mumsnet back in June when we were TTC, got a bfp on our first month of trying which sadly ended with a chemical, it was really disheartening... moving forward I fell pregnant very quickly straight after. I’m now 6 weeks 2 days and was just wondering ... I’ve been having mild waves of nausea they usually peaks around mid day and lingers for a bit and then completely goes until later in the day or in most cases till the next day is this normal? Just thinking nausea should be getting stronger as the days go on?

this morning I felt like I was MMC as I was full of energy and no sore boobs that soon changed once it got to 12pm, but now I’m totally fine!

So just to sum up is it normal for symptoms come and go at 6 weeks?

I guess the fear of going through a loss really gets me worried!!

Congrats on all your Bfps ... wishing us all a good 8 months or so ahead! :)

easterbuns1 · 14/08/2020 16:21

@Sexnotgender I have no plans to have an early scan. I have had early bleeding in previous pregnancies though (with both outcomes) and assume this one will be the same and if that's the case will likely end up at the epu. So hoping I don't have that worry this time tbh!

easterbuns1 · 14/08/2020 16:23

@Mandy133 totally normal, every woman and every pregnancy can be so different Smile

Robson13 · 15/08/2020 20:38

Hi everyone I hope you don't mind me jumping on. Congratulations to you all for getting your positives. I got a positive pregnancy test this morning after our third try at IVF. I feel really anxious because I know it's a long road ahead and haven't had it confirmed by a blood test at the hospital yet. I'm having feelings like I'm due on my period , and I'm so paranoid that the only thing keeping my period away is the hormones I'm taking. Is anyone else getting those ' pre period feelings?' I know everyone's symptoms will be different and trying hard not to worry!

Milliemoo222 · 16/08/2020 08:29

Hi @Robson13 congratulations on your bfp and welcome :)

Everyone has such different experiences, so hard to say what it will be for you. I had period like cramps, but they were different as normally they have me doubled over. My boobs started to hurt a few days later than they normally would if was AF but same sore feeling. I have not had a blood test yet, my booking app is in 3 weeks, but not sure if they would give you a blood test with IVF, maybe give gp a call? Try and stay calm which I know is easier said than done! I have been taking cb digital tests every week to see the weeks go up to re assure myself that it is real! I also have an private early scan booked for next week as I cannot wait and really want DH to be involved!

How is everyone today?
I actually managed to ge a decent nights sleep! Yey!

Sexnotgender · 16/08/2020 08:30

Hi @Robson13, welcome Flowers

Sexnotgender · 16/08/2020 08:31

I feel a little better today though slept terribly. Yesterday I felt like I was hungover all day.

Robson13 · 16/08/2020 08:53

Thanks @Milliemoo222. I need to keep myself busy and I'm planning on buying some cheapo tests today to do every few days. The clinic reopens on Monday so I'll find out then when they want me in for a blood test. When is the earliest that people are booking on for a private scan? I think that's a good idea especially if your partner can go to it

Tiff94 · 16/08/2020 09:00

Welcome @Robson13 @Mandy133 so happy for your BFPs glad you can join us.
How is everyone today?

Me - not the best still rather suck with my nausea doesn't seems to want to ease up just yet. Xx

Milliemoo222 · 16/08/2020 09:07

@Sexnotgender sorry to hear :( can you have a nap today?

@Robson13 I found that I need to just see some kind of indication that it was still real and also curious on how good the cb digital are :) I have booked for what I predict will be around 8 weeks, I think some places can do 6 weeks, but practice dependant. I have booked with window to the womb.

Tiff94 · 16/08/2020 09:12

@Robson13 I just had my scan this week at 6+4 (which they dated me the same) and it was with window to the womb. They will do from 6weeks unless you've had previous trouble then they will get you in earlier. They were very professional, DH was able to come and see baby as well. They did the vaginal scan as at 6weeks it too early for abdominal. Just literally very simple not painful at all and safe for baby too. I seen baby and heart beat which really put my mind at ease.

Tiff94 · 16/08/2020 09:13

@Sexnotgender I feel you. I slept terrible, woke up feeling worst and think it will be day 3 in a row we're I'm barely out of bed I think.

leaferty · 16/08/2020 09:14

Congratulations @Robson13, that's very exciting!

Robson13 · 16/08/2020 09:22

Thanks everyone, I had prepared myself for it being negative again so I was surprised to see a positive test! That's good to hear about the early scans @tiff94 it must have felt reassuring to hear the heart beat. I think it's something I'll look into ....it would seem like a long long time to wait until 12 weeks.

I'm not really feeling any symptoms. Slight nausea and not so hungry. Had a crazy vivid dream last night which woke me up with a start at 6am this morning!

April2021 · 16/08/2020 12:15

I'm joining the bad sleeping club today @Sexnotgender and @Tiff94 Confused

Was awake at 5am as needed to pee the nausea ++. So got up at 6am and had some toast which settled it. Got back to sleep for a few hours about 7.30. Luckily I can sleep in today and I'm on holidays. Don't know how I'll manage when I go back to work if this keeps up!
