Hi! I’m due early Feb. The tiredness has passed but the nausea and headaches are still lingering Confused. I had a shocking time around the 8/9 week mark with the sickness but I hear that can be quite common! Not a pleasant experience so far but I’ve had the first scan so that made it all a bit more bearable!!

Gee65 · 23/07/2020 13:25

@bm2021 nausea started for me last week (8 weeks). The weekend was terrible could not stop vomiting !! But seem fine since the weekend just nausea sometimes

I think you just have to embrace the times when you’re feeling ok (and hope you’re one of the lucky ones who has a lovely second trimester!!) that’s what I’m clinging onto haha!

Hi all, I'm due 13 Feb.

Would love to connect to some people!

I've been feeling so anxious. Seems like there are 100 things I'm not supposed to eat (salad from restaurant for example), and Covid anxiety also doesn't help.

Really want to travel and go out meet friends but unsure whether I would put Baby at risk.

How are you all coping?

Razberry · 23/07/2020 14:15

Oh and just to get back to your original question, I've had nausea and tiredness from weeks 6-9, now (almost 11 weeks) it's much better, but I started to get headaches. Oh and I'm so bloated that my belly looks huge.

Gee65 · 23/07/2020 14:38

Oh don’t get me started with what you can and can’t eat. I’m literallly calling my mum or texting my midwife every single day asking is such and such ok 🙈

How did your partners take that they are not allowed to scans? I’m going to have the hospital one and then pay for private just after so my partner can come

kezxo · 23/07/2020 15:11

Hey I'm due 17th of February Grin I've had bad sickness since around 5 weeks 10 weeks now and the sickness is easing only really throw up now first thing in the morning, tired but not overly. And my boobs do be killing me, had a private scan last week just to make sure everything was cooking away in the right place, and everything was healthy. Still doesn't stop the worrying tho that something can go wrong.

Gee65 · 23/07/2020 15:12

@kezxo oh the worrying is horrible ???

OP posts:
kezxo · 23/07/2020 15:26

@Gee65 ahhhh the worrying is non stop every cramp has me paranoid and I'm constantly going to the toilet to check I'm not bleeding. I really need to chill lol

Gee65 · 23/07/2020 15:33

@kezxo I am literally the same is this your first too? It doesn’t help I google every single pain I get !!!!

OP posts:
kezxo · 23/07/2020 15:36

@Gee65 yes this is my first aswell I'm trying to stay away from google but of course I've googled every single thing. Hopefully once we reach the 12 week mark we will settle down

Gee65 · 23/07/2020 15:42

@kezxo I know it feels like forever away too !!!

My partner was allowed to be there for my scan but I know each hospital is different. Worth double checking a day or two before though as a lot are lifting restrictions Smile

Gee65 · 23/07/2020 16:31

@bm2021 hopefully they lift them by middle of Aug . I had an emergency scan a few weeks ago which he couldn’t attend and on my letter for my 12 week one it says to attend alone. Fingers crossed it changed as don’t want to pay for another scan at basically the same time as my NHS one x

Hiya! I am due 13th February, first baby! Complete shock! I had awful sickness and tiredness around the 8week mark! But since taking Pregnacare the sickness has got a lot more manageable but still feeling utterly shattered! Haven’t had my 12 week scan letter yet but told they are running a week or so behind!! Gutted my partner can’t be there with me but I know it’s for the safety! I’m so nervous of needles so that doesn’t help at times ha! Looking forward to reaching out to others who are expecting around the same time or to share stories and listen to advice!!

Gee65 · 23/07/2020 21:02

@SLC91 hey babe . I had my bloods done Tuesday , was terrified never had them done before 😂but needle didn’t hurt at all !!! I’m going to pay for a private one too it’s £45 but my partner can come to that !! I am absolutely knackered !!! Would you recommend pregnacare? I’m just taking folic acid but got a sample of pregnacare in my little pack when I went for my bloods x

OP posts:
SLC91 · 23/07/2020 21:10

@Gee65 hiya!! See I had my first bloods about 2/3 weeks ago at my midwife appointment but thinking of having bloods at my 12th week for the screening checks!! I always wuss out and cry ha! Ah that’s really good for £45! I am going to look into it to take my partner! I was taking just folic acid and felt nauseous, was being sick and tired, headaches constantly and just not myself at all!! However since taking pregnacare (same as you I got a small sample) I haven’t felt hardly at all nauseous not like I was before and I am not feeling half as tired and my headaches aren’t as bad either! It’s a vast improvement! I think my partner was getting to the point of not knowing what to do with me and even he said he’s noticed the difference since I have been taking the pregnacare ha! x

Gee65 · 23/07/2020 21:13

@SLC91 oh fab !! I feel the same !! Did you just stop taking folic acid as pregnacare has it in ? X

OP posts:
SLC91 · 23/07/2020 21:16

@Gee65 yeah exactly that!! I just stopped and signed up on Amazon they were doing subscribe and save for 90 vitamin packs of Pregnacare! And honestly i feel like myself again!! I had felt so rough so for the last 2 weeks I’ve just felt like myself again, still tired at times but before I was feeling tired, falling asleep and waking up wanting to be sick!!! Whereas now I can go for a 30min nap and wake up feeling so much better! Still feel nauseous to certain things which is normal but actually eating proper meals now! Just very bloated ha! x

Gee65 · 23/07/2020 21:19

@SLC91 oh fab I’ve just found them on Holland and Barrett going to order some now ! X

J2Squared · 23/07/2020 21:48

@kezxo I am exactly the same - 1st pregnancy and a paranoid wreck! 🙈

Gee65 · 23/07/2020 22:50

@J2Squared how horrible is it !! It doesn’t help that I have a big dog who is really playful 😫

OP posts:
SLC91 · 23/07/2020 23:02

@Gee65 ah perfect!!! Let me know how you get on with them!! x

BattenburgBerry · 23/07/2020 23:24

@Gee65 snap! We have the same dates, I’m 9 weeks today with first baby, due on 25th Feb! I had a scan this morning at a private clinic, my husband came too which was great, it was amazing to see the little baby in there! I have felt fine, a few days of feeling quite nauseous, and I’ve been tired but otherwise ok. I take my vitamins before bed, they contain folic acid but you also need to make sure you get the recommended allowance of vitamin D too. Sitting outside in the sunshine for 20 mins a day helps as well. Apparently taking vitamins in the morning can make sickness worse.
