Hi ladies, FTM here and struggling to decide between two pram bundles. As I am petite and tried pretty much all the pushchairs, the easiest for me were Oyster3 and Mamas and Papas Flip XT2. The price is very close so I would like to find out if any of you had experience with them and could give me advice which would be better? I am so undecive and this is giving me a headache haha :) please help! Xx

I am tiny too 😂 and I've got the Flip XT2. Very happy with it. Went to mamas and papas looking at the bundles and there's no way I could have gotten the Occaro in the car by myself - too big and heavy for me. We got the Flip XT2 bundle (8 pieces) in the Black Friday Sale. Job done 🤷🏻‍♀️

We have a flip xt2, DS is turning 3 and we still use it! It’s been brilliant Smile

I'm also petite and thinking of getting the Oyster 3, it was by far the lightest and compact of all the ones we tried. Not sure if I've seen the Flip XT2 or not, we looked in mamas and papas but none of them took our fancy so didn't look in any great detail....would be interesting to know what the differences are?

We went for Cosatto Leap 9 travelsystem, only seen it online, and are yet to assemble it (was delivered yesterday). Hope it will be ok, i am a bit nervous. 🤞
Same here, FTM and don't have a clue about prams. 🙈

Thank you ladies for all of your comments! I've done some more comparison online and can see that XT2 is up to 15kg and Oyster3 is up to 20kg which means that might last a little longer. Thought I'll mention it in case someone else is trying to compare these two 😊
@DJBebe I haven't heard much about Cosatto but home it turns out to be great for you. When are you due?

@Missworry92 That's good to know. I'm 99% sure I'm going for the Oyster 3. Not sure about you but I feel like it's such an important purchase I just really don't want to get it wrong, I feel like I've watched a million different online reviews! 🤣What bundle are you looking at?

Missworry92 · 23/07/2020 23:22

@Stargazer87 oh I'm exactly the same! Feel like it has to be the perfect choice for me and for the baby haha :) I think I'm going to go for luxury 7 piece with footmuf etc as I'm due in november so will probably find it useful for our winter baby :) how about you? I've also decided to go ahead with maxicosi car seat rather than their own. Which car seat do you prefer? Also where are you thinking of getting it from? Seems like the price is the same everywhere 😅 and when are you due?

My dd got the Oyster and she can get it in and out of car with a one year old and 3 years old too. I have pushed it too and it pushes well. I have not seen other one to compare. I know my dd is very happy with Oyster.

I tried them both out and liked them both. I ended up going for the Flip XT3 (think it might be the newer version of the XT2???) mainly because I thought M&P are generally good quality and have good deals. We got the 6 piece bundle for £700ish a while back which was pram, carrycot, car seat, isofix, car seat adaptors and changing bag. I really fancied the occaro but like pp said, it was just a bit too heavy for me to be getting in and out of the car myself. When lifting it, I felt the occaro without the seat (so just the chassis frame) felt the same as lifting the flip with the seat.

Haven’t tested it properly as baby isn’t due for another 3 weeks but we’ve put it all together and used it around the living room to get used to doing the one hand fold. Car seat is also installed in the car and we love it all so definitely recommend.

Rainbowafterthestorm · 24/07/2020 07:49

@Missworry92, I was stuck between the oyster3 and the silver cross Pacific. I went for the oyster 3 as it folded much smaller and was lighter. I drive a Q3 so I needed something that I could lift high. We’ve only partially put it up, just to check nothing was damaged, but I love it. We ordered from kiddies kingdom (some places have a delivery wait until October, but theirs was next day). Also kiddies kingdom is on top cash back. :)

Missworry92 · 24/07/2020 08:23

@caringcarer thank you, yes its definitely very light and so easy to manoeuvre :)
@Havlerr yes you are right, xt3 is newer but there hasn't been many changes and M&P had a good discount on XT2 that's why I thought of that one and not the XT3. I just found xt2/3 and oyster3 very similar and felt stuck 😅 but I think the fact that oyster is up to 20kg and xt2 is up to 15kg has convinced me to go ahead with oyster. My partner is 6ft3 and I'm worried I will have quite a chunky baby 😂
@Rainbowafterthestorm oh my partner wanted Silver cross but I just couldn't justify spending more money for something that isn't as practical but looks a little more stylish 😂 and thank you, I will have a look on kiddies kingdom in that case 😊

@Missworry92 I'm also looking at the 7 piece bundle and am expecting a November baby. I just can't decide on which car seat to go for! Visually I much prefer the matching Oyster car seat, I think it looks really nice and like baby would be nice and snug, I also like the look when it all matches. However I'm not sure if I should go for a more well known car seat for safety reasons? Although saying that the new Oyster car seat has been tested throughly and has passed all safety tests. I've been looking around at where to get it and you're right, it seems to be the same price everywhere but John Lewis offers a longer warranty- longer than the manufacturers warranty so think that might sway us! What colour combo are you going for? That's the next difficult decision! 🤣

Missworry92 · 24/07/2020 21:37

@Stargazer87 I've decided to go for maxicosi car seat because it's only a little bit more expensive and the seat is actually like twice lighter than the oyster one. As it's all black I dont think it stands out too much from the rest of the bundle. What day in november are you due? I really like the pepper grey with dark chrome chassis but I think that's not available until the end of november and I'm due on the 15th so ideally would like to have it end october. I think mercury looks quite nice too. Which colour combos do you like the most? :)
