2nd growth scan referral

At my 34 week midwife appointment I got referred for a growth scan because my fundal height measurement dropped from above the 97 centile to below the 50th. The growth scan was fine and baby was measuring 5lb1oz and was pretty much bang on the 50th centile.

I’ve just had my 36 week midwife appointment and have been referred for another growth scan because my fundal height measurements haven’t changed at all from my 34 week appointment and I’m now below the 10th centile, close to the 3rd.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Is there a chance they'll want to induce me early because I’ve had 2 consecutive growth scan referrals or will it depend on the outcome of the scan?

I had multiple growth scans with my daughter and in end was induced for reduced movements, they will see what the scans show, baby may be growing great but bump might just be at its biggest!

This pregnancy im in now, I will end up having 4 growth scans

@EllieJai44 thank you, that’s good to know. Hopefully my baby boy is growing nicely in there and it’s just my bump that’s stayed static

I have been referred to a second growth scan. It turned out the midwife measured it incorrectly and every was fine

With me

I had a growth scan around 29 weeks & then 2 weeks later. They scanned me again at 34 weeks and said they wanted to induce at 37 weeks due to IUGR

He was born at 37 weeks and was 4lb 14oz.... he was absolutely tiny. My DD was 7lb 1oz so my son just seemed so dainty and small

They let us go home after 24 hours once his blood sugar levels had risen ( could be wrong on that, it was until some level had raised )

After around 8 weeks he gained weight rapidly. He was 17lb at 5 months old.... My DD was 17lb at 10 months old!
