ROT baby position - anyone else?

I've been for a growth scan today (35 weeks) and baby is lying head down but with his back against my right hand side. He's been in this position for a good few weeks now so I don't think it'll change.

Was anyone else's baby in this position (believe it's right occiput transverse?) going into the final weeks of pregnancy? What was the birth like?

I'm 39 weeks and my baby has been in this position since about 29 weeks. I've tried lots of yoga positions and my exercise ball but no movement. I can't tell you about birth yet but I have read that they can move positions during labour with a risk of going back to back. The best advice I read is to keep active in early labour, stay up right and open and use the birthing ball and hopefully they will move into a more favourable position. I've done some hypnobirthing so I'm hoping that 'baby really does know best'.
Hopefully some who had actually delivered might be able to give more advice!

@Macbless thanks for replying, it only really occurred to me after my scan today that it could be a problem when it comes to giving birth. The midwives I've seen haven't really mentioned it but I think I'll ask about it at my next appointment.

Have you seen the website Spinning Babies? Loads of great info about baby positioning, exercises to try etc
