Hey.
I’m 40+4 and I’m so fed up! I have had period like cramps over the the last few days and get a really tight Stomach. Especially out walks but apart from that there has been no symptoms or labour in sight. I had a sweep on Friday and she said all very positive and 2cm dilated but that was 4 days ago and NOTHING 😩. I’M getting so obsessed with the old wife’s tricks and doing them daily yet nothing is working. Any help or advice?

I can totally sympathise, my little sod of a son turned up 10 days late! I tried everything and in the end I just decided to mentally accept that he wasn’t going to come out before my induction daate and i made peace with it. Then I had some pains and mucusy/bleeding and had a sweep at 40+9 and 6 hours later I went to hospital and was in established labour. I had had absolutely nothing before that so it can just happen. It’s crap and the constant ‘have you had a baby yet’ messages don’t help but you’ve obviously made a very happy little home for your baby, just try as hard as it is not to stress yourself out with it😊 good luck

I went into labour 30 minutes after hopping up and down in the pub while watching Ireland beat NZ in rugby.

Maybe try jumping up and down and shouting obscenities? hahaha.

Sorry, you have my sympathy! Its really rubbish. I think all you can is try relax to be honest. Its all hormonal. Maybe have a ..... cuddle ..... with DH/DP and focus on relaxing.

Thanks very much. I’m going to need to stop obsessing over it and just wait! It’s so hard though. I just want to meet him x
