26weeks and bleeding

Hi all,

Maybe TMI for some but I need some advice. FTM and I am 26 weeks today and I have nipped to the toilet for a wee and upon wiping I have notice small specks of blood on my tissue. I mean the faintest of blood drop like you'd get with a paper cut.

Now I don't want to panic myself, but I definitely want to make sure that both myself and baby are alright. Now my question do I phone my midwife and ask for their advice? Or shall I wait and see if I bleed some more/heavy? Then call the midwife?

I'm sure it's fine but definitely give your midwife unit a call and see what they say. Better to be safe than sorry.

Call them 1000% x

Call. It’s probably not something serious but if it is serious then getting medical help quickly is important. Don’t worry about wasting their time, this is exactly the scenario that you call your midwife. If you can’t get through then it’s perfectly okay to go to A&E.
