Breastfeeding after a breast reduction

Hi all.

I had a breast reduction aged 29, and I'm now 33 expecting my first (only 7 weeks). My BMI was and is 27. I desperately needed the op, I wasn't massively overweight which gave me big boobs. Was just the way I was made! I also healed very quickly and very well.

At the time, I asked about breast feeding and the surgeon said "some women can, some women can't". He was very non committal. (totally appreciate he didn't want to scare me or give me false promises)

Now I'm pregnant I'd like to find other ladies who have had reductions and have either gone on to feed or not feed? (As in physically can't because of the op). I'm just wondering if you CANT, where does the milk go?? So the milk will still be produced, but can't get out? Does that cause infections / mastitis? That really worries me!! If you can, is it even more painful?
