Dizziness - early pregnancy symptom or virus?

Hi, I'm a bit worried because since yesterday I've been waking up feeling dizzy and the cheap strip test came out negative. My period should start next Monday according to my period tracker. Is it possible to feel dizziness before there's enough hormone to be detected? The dizziness stays mildly for the whole day. I've had a few cramps and a bit of PMS - sensibility symptoms too. Not sure what to think. I was going to travel but I'm not sure I'm fit for the journey, as it's quite hot and I would be driving alone.
Has anyone else had early symptoms before their official positive?
Thanks in advance!

I feel exactly the same and period due on Sunday, had a negative test this morning, was far too early to test probably but I got my dates mixed up and actually thought my period was late. Had really bad headaches too, fingers crossed for us both.

Thanks for your reply!
May I ask why "starting again"? I feel I'm starting again because I believe I had a miscarriage earlier this year, but every time I talk to (whom I thought) friends or friendly acquaintances, all of them deny the possibility and say I probably was never pregnant...but...I felt a similar dizziness...only fainter, and it disappeared as soon as I got a painful period with a disturbing-shaped discharge.
This time I feel dizzy all day long, and my PMS is more toward the sensitivity side than the usual rage or "suicidal" worthlessness.
Yes, fingers crossed for both! Should we wait for the first day of missing period to test and stop torturing ourselves with dismissive insensitive tests?
I've been trying my natural medicine for dizziness (which is basically keeping hydrated, avoiding excess heat and some acupressure/do-in points). Just in case, I wouldn't take any drug for the headaches...Hope they are bearable and you manage to rest well!

Starting again because I am in a newish relationship after being in a very long term relationship.
Sounds like it could have been a miscarriage and you know your body so will know better than anyone. I have had two miscarriages, but years ago now.

I am going to try and wait for sunday to do another test. I have never felt like this though. I feel shocking, but not ill, more like a fog, really weird. We are both due on similar times so interesting that we both feel the same. I don't normally get lots of symptoms my period is due so its strange for me. I've also been really short tempered and a bit emotional! Its torture waiting isn't it.

Thanks for sharing your story and congratulations on finding a compatible partner!
I guess it's "normal" to not get viably pregnant straight away...it makes sense for the body to have some time for adjusting.

I've had another weird symptom...I live in a rural area and three days before the dizziness I crossed paths with a stork-looking bird. I know it's a strange "symptom", but it happened!

Last night I found it difficult to sleep because I was a bit nauseous, and I've woken up naturally around 6ish.

Yes, it's a torture! The feelings and sensations are real, so there must be some reason for them. Let's hope it's that One...

In TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) they say the chin represents the reproductive system. I've also been looking at my chin hoping to see something flashy. Just a couple of spots as usual (I get them around ovulation and around my period, so twice a month I have a youthful adolescent face haha). Have you noticed anything yourself?

Dizziness was a symptom for me around 5 days before I got a positive. Good luck!

Startingagain87 · 22/07/2020 07:58

Well I'm out this month, bright red bleed everywhere(sorry tmi) when I woke up. Its 4 days early and doesn't usually start this heavy.

Really hope you get your bfp this month.

Madreselva · 22/07/2020 08:50

Could it be spotting?
My mum had what she thought a normal period and she didn't realise she was with me until the third month...
If it lasts for a few days then yes, try next month.

I'll see what happens with my constant faint nausea...

I got dizziness when I got to about 7 weeks pregnant and it stayed that way for another 7 or 8 weeks. Still get it occasionally now at 28 weeks. It wasn’t an early symptom for me.

Good luck!

Wow, we are so different. Well, only time will tell... Thank you for your replies @KatieFTM @WhatWouldPennyDo
So far, I don't have any other symptoms from a virus!
