+ protein in urine

Hey I just had my antenatal appointment midwife done urine test and said she saw protein in my urine and said she will send it off to the lap I'm a bit worried she only put + in my yellow book what does that mean

The sticks change colour to indicate the amount of protein (or whatever else) is in the urine.

In the case of protein it’s + as in 1+
If it had gone a darker colour it would have been 2+ or 3+

@FatherBrownsBicycle thanks for the reply so does that mean there wasn't a lot of protein found ?

Correct. My ob only gets worried if it's +++ and not in the morning (when concentrations are naturally higher as you're not drinking during the night).
