So tonight I have horrendous sickness and also suffering with ibs attack (which are getting worse during pregnancy) to the point I've shot myself twice in the last 6 weeks..... would it be unreasonable to cancel work already for the morning. Considering I've not slept and this has no sign of easing

I dont know why you feel the need to ask strangers permission on the internet not to go to work. If you don't feel you can work, then call in sick! Theres nothing wrong with that and you dont need permission from someone else.

I don't think she was asking permission @UrsulaSings more if it was unreasonable for her not to go in. I thinks it's advice she's after not permission.
OP if you feel like shit (no pun intended 😝) then don't go in.
You're pregnant at the end of the day and you're going to have days like you're having.
Your work should understand.
Get yourself some sleep and just drinking plenty of water.
Hope you feel better soon 💐

@UrsulaSings I was not asking permission to call in sick. I was more so asking if it would be unreasonable.

@lockdownpregnancy thank you I still feel rotten and have slept nearly all day. Hoping to feel ok for work in the morning. Always feel guilty taking time off and much worse when wages are short..
