Breathlessness at 11 weeks

Has anyone else experienced breathlessness on exertion at 11 weeks. I have seeked medical advice who seems to think it's just down to pregnancy. Been on antibiotics for 5 days no help. Bloods normal. Not covid.

Wondering if this is common so early on?

It’s usually anaemia. Have you had your iron levels checked?

Yes iron level normal. That's what I originally thought it was

I had this for a short spell around that time, but it passed within a few weeks and was put down to the baby restricting my lungs from their position. Lasted a couple of weeks I think.

I had this when I first found out I was pregnant, around week 5-6. It seemed to just go away on its own but basic movements and I was seriously out of breath, puffing and panting going up the stairs etc (I'm not normally) . It was very strange. My friend who's a nurse told me it was due to increased levels of progesterone, basically your body adjusting to all the new hormone levels. Sorry if this isn't too helpful but hopefully it passes for you too. Take care. X
