How essential is a swivel car seat?

Morning All,

I'm looking at buying a car seat and and am going to get one with the Iso fix base. Ive been told that we should get one that swivels to the side, how essential is that? I'm looking at the Maxi Cosi Pebble Pro which doesnt appears to twist. Thanks x

Oh and I had a infant seat maxi cosi cabriofix for when they were tiny. I believe they're safer for little babies as the ones that last until 4 are a bit of a compromise as they have to fit a big toddler in.

It's a nice to have but nit essential, they've only been around for a couple of years if that. No one needed one then.

Loved our swivel seat! It was especially handy for the times when DD refused to bend in the middle
We used ours from age 1-5, as DD was tiny.
