Hi all

Hope you're all well
Although my periods have been all over place over this year my last 3 have all started 13th of each month since april, my AF didnt arrive on 13th this month so I tested on 15th and got a BFP on 4 tests, on test it says 3weeks+ which means im passed 5 weeks, however now im getting cramping like AF cramps, dull ache and have the typical bloated AF belly, is this normal? To get cramps at 6 wks? Over last 2 wks ive had morning nausea, metal taste in mouth and extreme tiredness no sore breasts though, Is it possible to get BFP and then AF arrive, i had a MC year ago so im nervous as hell

Thank you for any advice

It's normal to get cramping, just everything expanding to make room. Whatever stage of pregnancy is stressful. If you feel the cramps are getting worse or that they are accompanied by blood then get yourself checked. Otherwise I hope you are able to put your feet up and have a rest as pregnancy is exhausting.

Hey, how is your pain now? I only found out I was pregnant on 12th July but similar to yourself, have had cramping/dull ache in my groin which hasn’t got worse but also hasn’t gone away. Really worried about what this could be. Xx

I got cramping similar to AF at 5-6 weeks, it really confused me as I had no idea it was a pregnancy symptom. I believe it's normal as long as there isn't any blood with it. Kept expecting my period to arrive, but it never did and the cramps went away too. Am 11 weeks now Smile

Hi Op,

With my first pregnancy I had AF type cramping through most of it. It was worst in the first 12 weeks, I was constantly checking for bleeding because it felt exactly like when my period was due. I had an early scan at the hospital as I was so worried but all was fine. He’s nearly 5 now and in my second pregnancy it wasn’t as bad , maybe because everything had already stretched? I still got some cramps but since I got them in my first pregnancy I wasn’t too worried.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!
