High blood pressure

So in my first pregnancy I had pre eclampsia and had to be induced early. Since then my blood pressure has always been high and I've been on medication for it.

With my second pregnancy I had high blood pressure but didn't get pre eclampsia..

With this pregnancy I'm only 5 weeks and I've already been started on aspirin and labetalol, I've also been told the midwife will get in touch and arrange my booking appointment again as she arranged it for when I was 8 weeks but the doctors want it earlier. They also want to put me under a consultant at the hospital to be observed.. they've told me I need to stay relaxed and not do too much, but I'm only early and feel like this is almost impossible when I have two toddlers to entertain and my dp is at work all day.

Thinking I'm looking at being induced again or a c section. Has anybody has any experiences with high blood pressure this early? I'm also having mad migraines too.

With my last two pregnancy's I was on asprin and labetalol from very early on and under consultant care. I had 2 weekly check ups with midwife and had really smooth pregnancys. One i went into labour naturally at 39wks my last l was induced at 38wks just to be on safe side. However i was 37 and had a high bmi

Hiya, don't stress to much I'm on labetalol, methyldopa, asprin, clexane, Adcal and now iron!!
All bp related /bmi for clexane but my bp has been managed well I see going to consultant as a plus as extra scans to keep an eye and at the moment everything is being scaled back with covid so I'd just say thankyou for any extra input you get x

I have got a bp monitor at home to because I keep getting random drops in bp, I've had 3 babies before this is number 4 never suffered with PC x

My pre pregnancy bp was at times 190/120 with medication...... The pregnancy bp medication has brought it down to 130/79 as a norm.... And some lows of 98/58 which have made me feel worse than the highs!!! Just be mindfull get a monitor and record your bp occasionally so you know what's normal for you away from hospital /midwife x

I think anti natal care has got a lot better over the years and they tend to monitor and treat early on now to reduce any risks. You will be fine x

Hi ive had high blood pressure since i was 8 weeks pregnant, im taking labetalol and asprin. Ive had a smooth pregnancy im 36 weeks now had a few extra growth scans and see my midwife every two weeks for a BP check up. I also got a machine at home so i can keep an eye on it myself too. Good luck with your pregnancy xx

Thankyou all, I have a bp monitor at home which I use daily, and record as the GP requests this information and I have to have a 24 hour one next week.

Just hoping all goes okay x
