Very worried...am currently 6 weeks and for a week or so have had light brown spotting (like mucous mixed with blood - sorry TMI). Then yesterday and today, it’s got heavier and today it was dark brown and more watery. Phoned EPU both yesterday and today, due to covid they can’t scan me but have said as I don’t have any other symptoms of a possible ectopic to wait it out until my seven week scan. Has this happened to anyone else?!

I had a miscarriage three years ago with my only other pregnancy at five weeks, I can’t remember this happening (just a lot of Awful cramps and blood) But obviously I’m very worried 😩

I had this at 6/7 weeks it lasted about a week and one evening there was a lot of fresh blood too, I obviously thought the worst! But I had a scan at 7 weeks and all was ok. It can be normal to have the bleeding or it can be a sign of miscarriage.. I know that's not very comforting but there is a chance it could still be ok. Very upsetting that they won't scan you straight away, it might just be a waiting game ☹️ wishing you all the best!

I had this exact symptom at 6 weeks and again at 8 weeks with my current pregnancy and am now 11 weeks 3 days and baby is perfect and healthy. I had a miscarriage the cycle before this pregnancy in April so I was very worried too when the spotting happened that a miscarriage was happening all over again but it wasn't. A lot of the time it can be where your cervix is more swollen and sensitive with hormones and it's been irritated slightly or it can just be old blood. As long as it stays brown and light you have lots of hope 💕💕 good luck to you!!

I have had this in my pregnancies just went for a scan at 9 weeks for this reason and there is a haemotoma I was told to expect more. Go to your 7 week scan and try to not worry
