Feeling sick

Just found out today about 5 weeks gone. I've felt so nauseous for last 2 days. Not actually been sick. But it's annoying. And I don't have any appetite. I've tried ginger tea and biscuits. Some toast. Nothing helps. When does this horrible feeling bugger off?

For me week sixteen...

BabyG123 · 16/07/2020 20:56

Still going strong..... from 2 days past ovulation to now 14 week, nothing helps! 🤢

Minkies13 · 16/07/2020 21:06

Mine eased up at 8 weeks

Jamhandprints · 16/07/2020 21:13

It is horrible, OP, I remember the feeling so well. It may last quite a few more weeks Im afraid but it will, eventually, go away.
With my first pregnancy I was prescribed anti-nausea pills. Half of one just made me go to sleep but at least I didnt feel sick while I slept. :-/
The only other thing that helped me was travel sickness wrist bands. You put them on first thing, or just before your sickness usually starts. Yoh leave them on all day and they do help.
The good news is, sickness means your hormones are working well!

Oh lord. It's terrible isn't it. I don't think it's bad enough to get tablets as not actually throwing up.

@mrsawhite I'm the same, nausea and really bad heaving and gagging. Feels like I've had a ab work out 🤦🏻‍♀️

I'm the same, went away at 9 weeks then come back with a vengeance at 11 weeks, I'm now 14 weeks and it's not easing up yet.

My 1st I was sick right up until week 35, my 2nd around week 12 and this one I’m on week 7 and I feel absolutely horrendous. Yesterday I was sick up until 2pm and then it disappeared. I’m hoping it goes soon

Hedgehog26 · 19/07/2020 07:56

I think the days were I just felt nauseous were worse than the days I was actually sick. At least when I was sick I’d be sick then could get on with my day. The just nauseous days lingered

WeeScottishWife · 19/07/2020 10:31

I started getting nauseous feelings around 7/8 weeks, it cleared up maybe week 14 or 15? I found that I could eat potato-based things (crisps, chips, anything really!) without the idea of them making me feel sick.

Also chocolate! Although that's not very healthy 😂

kidsareok · 19/07/2020 10:47

Ahh OP I totally feel for you. I'm 18 weeks and I would say my nausea subsided from about 14 weeks and then went at 17 weeks. Hang on in there! It's tough but it does get better! Although now I'm left with acid reflux and acid in my saliva which makes me sick from time to time - ahhh pregnancy 😂! Such a journey xx

mrsawhite · 19/07/2020 11:13

Oh you poor things. Well the day after posting it. I stopped feeling sick bizarrely. And now cannot stop eating. I have a meal. And then stomach is rumbling half an hour later. My friend did say it comes and goes though so not expecting nausea to stay away!

I had horrible nausea and sickness from 5 weeks to about 15.

Had a 16 week scan and happened to mention the all day sickness had gone but every morning I was still being sick which was more like frothy bile (mostly yellow). She said it was reflux, gave me a prescription for omeprazole and after just one tablet, it completely cleared. @kidsareok it might help you too :)

To feel normal again is amazing!
