Interview whilst pregnant

Hi

To anybody that works for my department it is likely to be outing but here we go!

I’ve got an internal job interview for a higher band job in the next couple of weeks but I’m also going to be 11 weeks pregnant by the time of the interview. I know I legally don’t have to tell them that I am pregnant but morally I feel like maybe I should? But then I have the inner thoughts that how will I know if it gets used against me if they do know..

What would you do?

My thoughts right now are to let them know if I have been offered the job and before I sign a contract because I wouldn’t be telling work this early otherwise but I honestly don’t know.

Any thoughts will help! (I know some people might flame me for applying whilst pregnant but it is a very good step up in my career and I am not going to be on maternity leave forever and not planning on any more children, if that is of any use to my case)

Thanks

I’m so pleased for you @MumMrs85 and hope like you that this means companies are seeing the value in people rather than just seeing them as a walking womb! Grin

@Thegirlhasnoname yes exactly! Just a shame we can't celebrate with a bottle of bubbles, 0.05% Gordon's GnT it is!
