Hi I’m 35+4 with my 2nd

My first was a cat 1 emergency c section after failed induction so I actually have no idea what to expect but here’s what’s happening. Sorry for tmi but think we’re all used to gory details on this wonder site :)

Period type pains and lower back pain on and off.
More discharge 🙃
Constantly peeing not sleeping at all as you every 1hour to pee in night.
When I do pee and get up I will have dribbles down my leg sorry that’s vile after I’ve wiped obviously.

Now this is one I didn’t want to write but I can smell myself 🤨 down below obviously.. I haven’t a infection I shower twice a day and I’m very clean. Is this even normal it’s putting me about lol

Like I say didn’t have this with my little girl.. also still throwing up every day and feeling sick and absolutely exhausted.

Hope everyone is well x

Tbh I would go and get checked out. The dribbles down the leg could be waters leaking.. Also the smell could be an infection (you can be clean and still have an infection!). Hopefully it's nothing but no harm in going in just to be sure.

Hi OP, it's the dribble down the legs that I would be worried about..... does it have a smell or color to it when you wipe? Waters breaking doesn't always happen in one big gush, sometimes it's a trickle over a period of time. You could try wearing a pad and see if it's saturated after an hour or two?

Also the smell down below and increased discharge, could it be thrush? That's really common in the 3rd trimester and has nothing to do with how clean you are (in fact, cleaning too much can make it worse as you need some good bacteria).

The rest of it sounds pretty normal for the third trimester. I'm 36 weeks today and am absolutely exhausted. I'm barely getting a few hours sleep a night between needing the loo all the time and struggling to get comfortable! I'm feeling a lot of pressure down below and having BH, stomach cramps, sickness and nausea, lower back ache, loose stools/diarrhoea, increased discharge, breathlessness, swollen hands and feet and OMG the heartburn!!!

I spoke to my midwife who reassured me that it's all totally normal for this stage unfortunately and that it could be days or weeks....there's really no telling.
She said the things to watch out for are waters breaking and/or contractions.

Hi

I went to hospital yesterday they’ve given me antibiotics for a suspected water infection but I’ve just had to ring them now as had bad tightening pain from my stomach to my back.

They’ve told me to rest so partner home from work so I’m just laying down now.. will see how I go x
