Hi ladies, hope everyone is well 😁 there are lots of opinions on taking hot baths in pregnancy, (I'm 4 weeks 3 days).

I know we need to be careful with using lots of fragranced products, but is it safe to have a soak in the bath if it's not too hot? And what temperature is safe if so?

I'm such a waterbaby and I'm craving a nice long soak but so many places online advise not to?

Any advice would be much appreciated xxx

NHS website says as long as water in below 32 degrees C it's fine. Biggest risk is probably fainting.

I had baths almost nightly with all 3 of my DC. No probs....just don’t have it really hot! I had V low blood pressure in all my pregnancies and having a hot bath would make me pass out!
Have a soak! X

You’ll be fine. Have a bath.

Don't have so hot that it makes you feel faint afterwards

You'll be fine. You need to avoid raising your core temp above 39 for more than ten mins, so a long 38 degree bath would be fine.

Test with your elbow like you would for a child :)

32 seems to be the nhs advice on swimming pools for exercise, it says 35 for a hydrotherapy pool. I can't find anything about baths? It does say avoid hot tubs as they can be up to 40.
