Hard belly after c section

I had a c section on Friday 10th and had my beautiful little boy.

My belly is rock hard and I still look about 6 months pregnant. Is this normal? If so how long does your stomach tend to stay hard after a c section? It's so uncomfortable!

You have just had a major operation. It will all take time to settle down, but if you are concerned, let your doctor take a look.

Many years ago before my children were born I had an ectopic pregnancy. I have very little feeling along the scar which also left a ridge on my tummy. I hope they have improved how they stitch ladies up by now. Take care

Firstly Congratulations!

Apologies it’s from the fail but I thought it might help reassure you.

Hard paired with uncomfortable I would speak with your midwife/gp about, just to make sure everything is healing as it should.

Don't worry about still looking pregnant though, that takes a while to change and is perfectly normal!
