Early pregnancy worries

Hi everyone, I’m writing this because I’m driving myself absolutely crazy. I have been TTC with my husband for 2 years. I have recently been diagnosed with PCO in my left ovary.

Last Sunday I got my first BFP on FR and followed it up with a Clear Blue digital that predicts a date. It put me at 1-2 weeks.

My last period was 9th May - but with PCOS, I sometimes go many months skipping a period.
I take my internal temp to monitor ovulation. I believe I ovulated on the 23rd of June and my temperatures remained super high. I believe I might have conceived between then and the 27th of June. As you can probably tell, I have no idea how far along I am.

Today I went for a Transvaginal scan due to some brown discharge I started to notice last Friday. The “bleeding” is only visible when I wipe or it comes up as a dot in my underwear if I’ve been up and about. I was told to book in at the early pregnancy unit to rule out any issues.

The doctor put me at 9 weeks based on my last period. I knew that was impossible and I believe I’m earlier than that.

On the scan they could only see a gestational sac measuring 4 mm and that my endometrium was measuring at 19 mm. They also said I had an anteverted uterus. There was no yolk sac or fetal pole.

They took my bloods and told me they’ll check my HCG again on Wednesday with hopes it would go up. They said the reasons they may not see a yolk sac is because I’m too early or that I’m starting to miscarry.

My ovia app puts me at 4 weeks and 4 days. Does this make sense? Should you be able to see more than a gestational sac in 4-5 weeks of pregnancy? Could I be only 3 weeks???

I’m so sorry for all of the questions and uncertainty. I haven’t properly slept since I noticed the spotting last Friday. I’m so worried. This is my first pregnancy and I’ve never wanted something so much in my life.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

@Re3291 I am having an early scan in two days but very worried as I miscarried last year. I am supposed to be 8 weeks but I think I’m less.
Could your spotting be implantation?
It may be very early to see anything at all, I am sorry I am not quite sure myself.
I have an anteverted uterus too but I was always told that it doesn’t mean that we’ll have some problems with pregnancy.
I understand your anxiety and you’re not alone 😘

@CristinaTi I’m so sorry that you’re also going through this stress. It’s so hard not knowing what is going on inside of you. I’m also sorry to hear about your m/c. The thought makes things more stressful for sure but I always hear that just because you have had one, doesn’t mean it’s likely to happen again. I’m sending you a big virtual hug.

It could be implantation bleeding I suppose. The midwife did say it was a possibility as I may be very early. She also said it can be old blood from missed period. I’ll know on Wednesday if my HCG has doubled and if things are working out as they should. I’m full of worry though!

Keep me posted on how things go for you x

I once had a transvaginal scan at just over five weeks and no yolk sac or fetal pole was found.

My yolk sac is five now and fast asleep in bed. It could well be too early. Good luck x

I can understand your concerns! It is such a worry! I had bleeding during the fifth week of pregnancy, up until the eighth week. I had a transvaginal scan too, all was fine. They couldn't find any reason for the bleed (I had bright red blood)... I now have a happy, healthy 6 month old. I hope all is okay with you? X

I’m thinking of booking in for an early scan. In around 6+2 but have no symptoms, my boobs were quite sore and heavy but they seems to have gone over night so I’m getting worried.

I'm 6+5 and my conception would have happened June 18th so you are definitely behind me with those ovulation dates. You are max 6 weeks today but could be 5+2. I'm sure everything is in order and you'll be relieved at your next scan. Good luck Flowers
