Maternity photo shoot

Hi all. With the lock down and self distancing me my, my DH and the bump don't have any photos together and I'm thinking of doing a maternity photo shoot.
I am 28 weeks but don't know if to have it done now or later on when my tummy is a bit bigger. When did you have yours done if you had any photos taken?

We never had any bump photos taken together. I didn’t know this was a “thing”. I would probably organise a shoot now in case there is a delay in setting one up.

I would also do it now while you can OP. Just in case any Covid related issues prevent you from doing it later!

Iv just had one at 36 weeks.
I didn't have much of a bump at 28 weeks. But either way the photos will be so special.
I just said to photographer I wanted it to be outside at a social distance and all was fine :)

Some friends of mine just did this - she was 36 weeks, they invited us to come too but I didn't feel like it. Looking on the photographers website though she recommended to do it at around 32 weeks so you have a round bump but you're not too knackered. Depends on how bumpy you are really and what you want to capture :)

I've done this for a couple of friends although it's not my usual photography! We've found that 32-34 weeks seems to be ideal although before and after that is definitely possible :)

Thank you all for your lovely advice. 😊 i appreciate it.

I'm in the same situation. We don't have any photos. I haven't taken any photos. But I thought that this would be something nice to do. Again, like PP I've researched anywhere between 32-36 weeks is ideal. I'm looking to book mine for the beginning of September when I will be around 32 weeks.

I didn't get this done but if I did I would have wanted to do it around 30-32 weeks. Nice bump without looking like a beached whale*.

*Speaking for myself here! I'm sure you will look lovely OP.

😃 @Snowflayke you are so funny, but that's a very good point.

I’ve just had mine! We also didn’t have any photos together and since I haven’t been going out in lockdown I haven’t been looking presentable to take any myself haha. I found a wedding photographer taking maternity photos (as no weddings happening!) for a reduced price and contacted her. She recommended 30-31 weeks is best before baby drops and so you’re comfortable enough to walk around the location. I was actually 35 weeks when I had mine and looked massive but luckily my bump hasn’t dropped yet and so looked nice and round. I’m really excited for the photos Grin
