Ears popping all the time

Hi everyone
Is anyone having this problem in third trimester ? Or any trimester for that matter !
I’ve had a stuffy nose and nose bleeds quite a bit but when I lie down at night it’s as though my ears get blocked. They constantly pop or I temporarily lose hearing in the process

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes I get this all the time, I have sinus issues which have been worse in the 3rd trimester. Its called Glue Ear, I have started using a saline nasal spray which is helping abit! Other than that I have no other help, it's so frustrating. Always feel like I'm talking funny too or that I'm underwater!

Yes I’ve had glue ear before :(

I wonder whether it’s worth calling the doctors for? I doubt they can do much really. Plus I would be reluctant to take antibiotics during pregnancy

Hi OP! One of my ears keeps popping and my sinuses are terrible (29 weeks) at the moment, but no nose bleeds.
I have hayfever too which doesn't help but I feel your pain! Apparently according to my pregnancy app it's all normal?!?!? 🤷‍♀️
However if you are struggling do speak with your doctor.
I appreciate you don't want to take antibiotics but the doctors know which ones are safe for you to use during pregnancy, so don't worry about that too much

Definitely worth talking to the Dr incase it is an infection or maybe they can recommend another solution!

I hope it clears up for you soon (and for you lockdownpregnancy) the joys!

I’ve had popping / fluttering in my right ear for a few weeks (currently 25+5), intermittently. I also suffer with my sinuses and am on a sterimar spray.

I spoke to my MW and GP (both at routine appointments for other things) who said I don’t have any sign of infection, but it’s a surge in hormone and increased blood flow which vibrate the inner drum, and expands the blood vessels. If your worried speak to them and they can check it out.

I'm 35 weeks and been getting the ear popping thing for a while now along with a stuffy nose. My ears are also full of wax.....not sure what's pregnancy related and what's not at the moment!

Ah thanks everyone. 🤗
It’s difficult to sleep when it’s like this isn’t it !
