Ibs in pregnancy

Hi all.
I am 10 weeks pregnant and it's not been an easy ride. From potential misscsrriage and bleeding twice to pregnancy of unknown location to finally getting my 12 week scan date and praying I've not had a mmc and everything is well with our baby.

I suffer with ibs AND FLIP BETWEEN C AND D TYPE and this is my second attack since finding out I'm pregnant obviously I can't take imodium for it now which is what I do. I've been crazily constipated till now. Does any one have any advice??

What sorts of things are you eating

A probiotic and fermented foods might help

Second a good pregnancy safe probiotic
If you've been eating a lot of carbs - I lived on beige in the first three months - prune juice if your friend for the constipation but take it very easy with a small amount first as it really goes through you

Have you tried peppermint tea? I used to find that settled my stomach although it won't do anything for the pain unfortunately

Are your flare ups linked to anything usually? Stress/anxiety etc?

Maybe it's worth speaking to.your GP to see if there's a safe alternative you can take

My flare ups are normally food related and I think I can pinpoint what it was

I can't drink anything with caffeine in it
