Hey ladies I took a antibiotics Bec I have symptoms of a uti I am on the ones that are called cefalexin.. it's not the antibiotics that made me feel ill but I think it was a banana I ate before hand that made me feel ill but I literally vomited in 8 mins or less than that after taking it however when I vomited I did not see the capsule so I'm not sure if I should take it again or just leave it until my next dosage also I am 13 weeks pregnant x

If you vomit one dose it doesn't matter, just keep taking the rest as normal

sel2223 · 11/07/2020 23:06

Never take it again. If you throw up, just wait and take your next dose at the normal scheduled time.

Just to clarify, I meant the same as @sel2223. Let's say it's a three-times-a-day antibiotic, and you vomit the lunchtime one, just wait and then take the evening one as normal.
It happens a lot and it's no big deal. Antibiotics are pretty powerful and the infection will get killed off just the same.

@Umberta @sel2223 thank you guys for your replies... things went bad couple hours ago right now I'm in the hospital with a drip , anti sickness medicine and waiting for blood test I vomited again today and decided to go to the ER as I didn't feel well I'm not sure what's wrong with me the doctor is saying it sounds like food poisoning I pray baby's fine and I get better soon please keep me in your prayers 💕😩

Oh no I hope you're ok today! You're in the best possible place, they will look after you in hospital and spot anything wrong straightaway. Hope you get some rest xx
