Hi all, I'm writing this on behalf of my partner and I, just to make it clear we're both first time parents so we could use all the advice we can get. My partner has recently been feeling sick, loss of appetite, uncontrollable emotions, very tired all of a such just to name a few. She decided to take some tests on Thursday (almost 20 to be in fact!) and all came up with a very bright posative red line. She managed to get a scan for Friday yesterday but they couldn't find anything on the scan so they took a blood test, she got the results today and they came back negative, she also took another clear blue test today and it came back negative even though she still receives the same symptoms.

Has anyone here had this happen before? Were both very confused as to what's happening right now so I'll very much appreciate any advice or experience you kind people have. Thank you in advance.

What date was she due her first day period?

Sorry to say, it sounds like a chemical pregnancy. when was her period due? How far along would she be?

Are you in the UK? Was the scan private? I dont know any EPU's currently doing early scans unless there is a medical reason/multiple previous MC's for example.

How come you went for a scan 1 day after taking a test? Nothing would be visible if she is only just 4 weeks. I don’t understand why the rushing for a scan and a blood test unless there’s something you didn’t mention in your original post?

It does more than likely sound like a chemical pregnancy if the pregnancy tests are also now showing negative. If she still has no period in a few days retest to double check.
