I picked mine up the other day and had an hell of a job putting it together.

I didn't realise I wouldn't be able to fold it up when it is in pram mode. If you have one is there a way to get it in the car at all when you have it as a pram?

Hi Stefka, we have bought one but haven't picked it up yet. We were shown (and had a go ourselves) how to fold it up from being a pram in the shop. Can't remember exactly but you have to turn the hood around and release something then hey presto! Maybe you could take it back and ask for a demo?!

I have a P3 from 3 years ago when DS1 was born and you could fold it in Pram mode. I am sure that they would not have changd it that much.

Go back to the shop and ask

TheMadHouse · 28/09/2007 08:35

I loved my P3

Stefka · 28/09/2007 08:40

I loved it when I was in the shop. I am glad that you loved it - I hope I will too! I am not a very technical person so maybe I just need some time to figure it all out.

The only reason I do not use it now is that DS2 will only rear face - pah

Two more questions!

Can you fit the car seat to it in pram mode or is that just for push chair mode?

Also did people put the baby straight into the pram or do you put some bedding down first?

Sorry if these are silly questions - first baby and have no clue!

I have one of these. You can't fold it in pram mode (not mine anyway) - I didn't realise that either before I bought it! We just put a folded blanket in to make it a bit more comfy and warmer in winter. Not sure about car seat as we don't have one.

geordiemacminx · 28/09/2007 12:12

i have one of the new ones, that comes with the integrated pram liner - its grey? You can fold up in pram, push hood down, lock wheels front and back, pull handles up and handle you have to fold. you have to convert into push chair to attach car seat, and in pram mode we had attached pram liner so never bothered with extra bedding - esp as it was summer... i'm off out now but will be back in a bit if i can help any more....

failing that take it to m&p and get them to give you a lesson - we cartedb ours there 3 times cos we didnt have a clue...bit of an expert now...and on first name terms ith the staff at our local branch

geordiemacminx · 28/09/2007 12:13

oooo just seen your are central scotland... if you are anywhere near me I could bring mine and show you? I'm in lanarkshire?

Stefka · 28/09/2007 15:49

I am in Falkirk so probably a bit far away for you. Do you have to take the hood off to fold it in pram mode? I am too scared to try it incase I break it!

if this is the pram you have got www.mamasandpapas.co.uk/product-s0002988/type-s/ then no you just push the hood back and it all folds, although the hood clips on and off quite easily so its quite easy to take it off if you want to.

Your best bet is to take it to m&p at glasgow fort and they will show you how to do everything. Otherwise I could meet you and show you - i'm less than 30 miles away..god i sound like a stalker

Stefka · 28/09/2007 19:27

That's the one. I now can't figure out the car seat - I am not doing very well. We can get it in the car but the harness bit doesn't seem big enough for a baby and I can't see a way to adjust it. I am going to get my husband to take a look and if he can't get it I may well take you up on that offer!

There is a bit under the seat, almost between the legs that adjusts the harness...

If you dont get it sorted I could meet you at cumbernauld or somewhere.

It does take a bit of getting used to but once you start using it day in day out then it gets easier.

You should pop onto the thread here called north of the border - there are quite a of us up here now, most had babies within the past 6 months, a few due over the coming months. We are a friendly bunch!!

Stefka · 28/09/2007 19:49
