I'm currently 22 weeks and just worrying over everything, I'm generally a worrier anyway but feel like it has increased 100 times since being pregnant. I know the pregnancy hormones and lockdown will be playing a part in it but I just feel so emotional all of the time. I have been feeling movement for a couple of weeks but it seems to have changed the last couple of days and I'm not feeling it as strongly as before so worrying over that. I called the midwife for advice this morning and she wasnt concerned, said its still very early and baby can change positions etc. I have also changed my routine, last week I was off work so much more active and baby always seemed to move more when I sat down for a rest or when I was having a conversation. Now I'm back wfh so sitting at a desk all day with no one to really speak to then DH is at work in the evenings.

No point to this really, just hoping writing it down will make me feel less anxious

I went in to have baby checked at exactly 22 weeks because I hadn't felt him move for most of the day and I felt so anxious. He was absolutely fine, moving away like crazy, he'd just changed positions and I couldn't feel him any more. In retrospect it was way too early for me to be worried (I know that's easier to say than when it's actually happening to you!) The midwife was really nice about me coming in but did say that there's really no reason to be concerned before 28 weeks. Also, the harsh reality is at 22 weeks even if there is something wrong there's really nothing they can do about it because it's way too early for the baby to be born 😔 But in all likelihood the baby is fine, just tiny and facing the other way for a bit!

Your baby is really tiny at this stage with plenty of room to move and hide.

You'll probably find your movements will change a lot over the next 6-8 weeks as your baby grows and starts to establish a pattern.
Official advice says that you should begin to see a pattern forming from 28 weeks onwards but it's different for everyone - I'm 35 weeks and still haven't got what I'd call a proper pattern!

If in doubt, always call up for advice but honestly, what you're describing sounds totally normal for uour gestation.

@bluemoon2468 @sel2223 Thank you both so much for your replies, it makes me feel better to know other people have had similar worries and that Im not going completely mad.
