Sooooooo I woke up this morning with soaked shorts! 😳
My pregnancy pillow was dry, as was my bed, but my shorts were wet and my thighs all damp!
Currently at the assessment unit (again 🤦🏻‍♀️) as they are checking to make sure my waters haven't broke.
Currently strapped up and baby's heart being monitored.
Anyone else had anything like this where it wasn't premature labour?
I'm strangely calm but would also like some reassurance that it could just be the onset of incontinence and not labour! 😂😂

Hi OP,
Hope everything is going well at the assessment unit. Something similar happened to me when I was pregnant with DS 1, it turned out it was really watery discharge (sorry tmi) and I had quite bad thrush that was high up so I hadn’t noticed which was causing the wetness.

Have you found out if it is your waters?

sel2223 · 09/07/2020 11:05

Hi @lockdownpregnancy hope everything is going OK at the hospital and it's not your waters.

Similar to the above poster, I've had some really watery discharge which has saturated whatever I'm wearing (sorry for the TMI). Several times I've been convinced it's my waters.

I've been told about some pads you can get from boots which change colour if they sense any amniotic fluid so I've been thinking of getting some of those.

shellysheridan · 09/07/2020 11:10

Hope you're ok op.
I had lots of discharge throughout the later stages of both pregnancies and had to wear pads. It wasn't amniotic fluid and both babies delivered at 40 ish weeks.

Hi ladies! All is well! Extremely watery discharge, THANK GOD!!!
Whilst I'm excited to meet my lil man I don't want him out just yet!
The ward were super thorough with me and I'm all good!
Just big pants and pads for bed time wearing going forward! Oh the joys! 😂😂😂
Seriously though I just couldn't believe it this morning! I was like..... Nooooooooooo!!!!!!

I'm glad you got checked and all is well OP. Smile

@sel2223 do you know what those pads are called? I tried looking at boots but can't find them.

tossacoin1 · 09/07/2020 15:39

Glad everything turned out okay OP :)

sel2223 · 09/07/2020 15:49

@lockdownpregnancy pleased everything is ok.

@tossacoin1 here's the link. They're quite expensive but could be worth it to some people just for the peace of mind.
