Hello, I just wondered if anyone had experienced similar to me as I am really worrying. I have been experiencing cramps on my left pelvic area very low down almost on the bone, it’s quite a sharp pain and it’s been constant since yesterday morning. However I only feel the pain when standing up. I have had no bleeding or any watery discharge. I am 4 weeks at 2 days pregnant and conceived through IVF. This is my first pregnancy so I am unsure what to expect! All I’ve been reading about is ectopic pregnancies so it’s sent my mind into overdrive!!

Hello just wondering how everyone got on .. I am 4 weeks 6 days I've had pains in my left pelvis area for about 4 days now and not sure if I should be worried or not I cant stop thinking about eptopic pregnancy x

Hi @Sammyj123 - sorry to hear you're getting these annoying pains! Mine didn't turn out to be ectopic and my GP said it would have been too early to feel any severe pain at that stage. She thought it was more likely round ligament pain/implantation pain and said I could just take paracetamol.

I ended up going on to miscarry, but it was in no way linked to the pains. I'm actually 10 weeks pregnant again and have had similar pulling/cramping along my bikini line on one side on and off the whole time.

I know it's a horribly stressful time and Google makes everything seem worse! I would watch out for any heavy bleeding and maybe contact the EPU for reassurance?

I'm sorry to hear that... and congratulations I hope everything goes smoothly I had a scan yesterday they can see a sac in my womb but said it's to early to see anything inside yet but also can see something in my tube I had my bloods and my hcg levels are ok so gotta go back in to days to have more bloods I'm so worried just got to sit and wait
. The pain is still there it isnt real painful it's just constantly there in the same place andhave has no other symtoms xx

I had this, even posted about it. Was really, really worried (didn't help that we'd just gone into lockdown so I had no one I could just go and chat with.)

Three month old DD is currently snoozing on me.

Posted too soon. So I would try not to worry too much if you can (I know that may sound almost impossible) as it will probably be fine.

Turns out I was right to be worried I have a Heterotopic which is twins where one I'd in my womb and one Is in my fallopian tube I will need surgery on the one in the tube but also increases the chance of miscarriage for the one in the womb also waiting to be re scanned so feel so nervous because there is a chance of eruption x

I'm so sorry. I hope all goes as well as it possibly can for you.

@Nikkinoodle20 hello I had something similar at 5 Weeks +2. Pain lasted for about a whole day. Was referred to EPU. Scan took place at 5 Weeks +4. Pregnancy in right place with Gestational sac and yoke sac and no fetal pole. I was told I am still too early. They said the possible reason for pain could be a cyst on my left ovary called Corpus luteum that is harmless.

Good luck x

@Nikkinoodle20 I know this is an old post but going through my 2nd pregnancy at 5 Weeks +2 days today with exactly same pains I had with my first born and just remembered your post!

Lu x
