Straining harmful?

Really paranoid hence the awkward and probably stupid question. Apologies.
Is it possible to harm the baby if you're straining/squirming on the toilet due to constipation? Really worried because of a lot of leaning forward and pushing hard Confused

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I don't think you'll do harm to the baby. But you might to yourself. Straining is really bad for your body especially with the extra pressure/weight of pregnancy and you're at higher risk of getting a prolapse if you are constantly beating down to do a poo.

Your doctor should be able to give you something for the constipation.
