Big bump measurement

I am 23 weeks pregnant on DD2. My bump is measuring at about 28cms. Does a big bump equal a big baby? Has anyone found they measured big but sort of evened out? I am a bit nervous as I am a small woman (5'1, size 10 before getting pregnant) and I struggled to birth my first DD and she was 7lbs 14oz.

Did the midwife measure you? In my area they don't start measuring or recording it until you're 28 weeks as ir can be way off before then.

Don’t worry. It is very inaccurate. Also, in units where they still measure fundal height, it’s not done until 27/28weeks. My unit don’t do it at all now

My bump was measuring over the 97th percentile at my 28 week appointment, on the 90th at my 31 week, and below the 50th at my 34 week. I got referred for a growth scan for slow fundal growth but baby is absolutely fine and is measuring on the 49th percentile.

Try not to worry, as PPs have said it’s a very inaccurate form of measurement. If they are concerned for any reason they’ll refer you for a growth scan
