I'm not taking going home outfits, as I'm going in at 8am, the dress I will wear to go in I will wear home. And baby can come home in a baby grow.

Phone charger?

PrincessSarene · 08/07/2020 15:58

Looks pretty comprehensive! All I can think of is maybe nappy sacks for baby, and hand cream and lip balm for you. Also maybe something light to read just in case?

Noitisnottwins · 08/07/2020 16:03

princess thanks. I'll add those to it. I feel like I'm forgetting something. But I just don't know what it is.
The car seat is in the car, the pram is in the boot as the car seat isn't a little one. I've got outfits out for the older 3 kids, so hubby doesn't need to do anything they will dress in what I've picked. There is meals frozen in the freezer enough for 6 tea's, I'm going to get stuff for sandwiches for lunch before going in. I just don't know what I'm missing.

@Noitisnottwins Argh I hate that feeling! I get it all the time. Usually I never work out what for but then I figure it can’t have been anything important otherwise I’d have noticed what was missing Grin

I think I posted on a similar thread recently, but I would take your own painkillers! They apparently aim to come round with them every 4 hours but not in my case last time. I'm packing my own ibuprofen and paracetamol this time

mais · 08/07/2020 16:21

Towels? They aren’t supplied in my hospital (not in the UK)

Noitisnottwins · 08/07/2020 16:24

princess
It's been bugging me for 2 days now. I keep waking up and messaging my hubby saying don't let me forget to add this thing. Haha.
I can't take anti inflammatory medication do to my asthma but I'll add paracetamol.

Flipflops! I was so hot all the way through labour, did not want to be barefoot but slippers were far too hot.

iknowimcoming · 08/07/2020 16:33

Dressing gown? I'd also take a notepad and pen - useful for writing lists for DH (things to bring in/do etc) book/magazine maybe as well?

Noitisnottwins · 08/07/2020 16:42

something my Slippers are not really Slippers they are a pair of slip on sandals. I won't be going through labour as having a section so it's for ease when I'm allowed up.
iknow I'm taking a cardigan, it's a big one. As I don't own a dressing gown haha.

A pen. My hospital asked me to complete a feeding log which was a complete pain without a pen

Your notes and ear plugs, if baby is sleepy on the first night and all other babies are making noise you'll miss out on some decent sleep while ypu can!

Noitisnottwins · 08/07/2020 18:18

mrsN my notes that's it!! I feel so stupid.
Im in a private room so noise shouldn't be an issue.

This was my list!
What I would add/remove next time-

Don't take own towels, use the hospital's as they get ruined
Deffo don't need that much stuff but I was first time mum so wanted to be prepared in case of hospital stay
Body moisturiser and hair oil.... never used, last thing on my mind!

Toilet wipes were amazing. If you're looking to be environmentally friendly then I'd suggest the spray you can get for loo roll instead. Honestly, bum saver.

Congrats and good luck!
