Looking great @ChampooPapi love the dress , hair and of course bump! 💜

Pinktruffle · 12/07/2020 17:17

@chubbyhotchoc I love your dress! Where is it from?

PipTed · 12/07/2020 17:21

Ok so my bump only seems to be getting bigger. This was mine last sat (I was 19 + 2 then).

We had our private scan today (I'm 22 weeks) and found out we are having a baby girl! 💕. It was so lovely that my partner could see her for the first time - we were both emotional wrecks and are so in love with her already! 💕

@RestorationInsanity we’re also considering home birth. Especially since our trust has released confirmation that partners are not allowed at the scan and strict birth rules apply until further notice. 😞 I have mentioned this to the midwife, on the 16 week call (my last verbal contact with her) But wanted to explore it further and research, like you.

RestorationInsanity · 12/07/2020 17:38

@PipTed yes this is the same for me for many reasons. They have enhanced the requirements since lockdown has eased, such as me and DH having to wear
masks when I arrive in labour, being met by staff in ppe and masks and escorted to the delivery room, and only being allowed to remove masks when alone. I understand that medical staff need to protect themselves and patients, but I don't think it will be a positive birth experience under those circumstances. Will be really interested to hear what your home birth team say when you make contact.

RestorationInsanity · 12/07/2020 17:39

Congrats @NaomiB79! I wonder what the ratio on here is currently between boys and girls?

peachypetite · 12/07/2020 17:50

I feel a bit in limbo now, finding out my placenta is low lying I don’t think I can make any decisions until my scan at 34 weeks because it depends where it’s sitting. Annoying.

chubbyhotchoc · 12/07/2020 18:27

@ChampooPapi thanks. It's 11:20. Dh is coming!

Snowwhite2020 · 12/07/2020 18:33

Sorry @chubbyhotchoc apologies!! Those compliments were for you regarding the photo you posted! Major baby brain I’m afraid over here... 😂 xx

chubbyhotchoc · 12/07/2020 18:37

@Snowwhite2020 aww thanks. Very kind of you!

chubbyhotchoc · 12/07/2020 18:38

@PipTed you look very cute!

chubbyhotchoc · 12/07/2020 18:40

@Pinktruffle dare I say it's from boohoo. It was one of the few items I didn't return

Snowwhite2020 · 12/07/2020 18:44

Anyone else in Scotland been told their partner can come to the 20 week scan? We got the happy call on Friday to say he can but not sure if there are regional differences, as there are in England? I’m holding out hope hospitals will be more back to normal by the time we all give birth! Xx

lionsmum · 12/07/2020 20:33

@Snowwhite2020 I phoned on Thursday to ask if there had been any changes & the department said not as of yet but to phone back Monday morning before my scan to see if anything has changed because things can change to rapidly, so fingers crossed my DH will be allowed in! Where are you if you don't mind me asking?x

CBhope · 12/07/2020 22:01

I have my 20 week anamoly scan and baby’s cardiac scan at Kings tomorrow after being referred there for a cvs due a high NT at the 12 week scan. The cvs came back clear for chromosome abnormalities but I’m so scared of any bad news with this scan. He’s kicking away all the time and other people can feel the kicks so he’s pretty strong already. I hope that’s a good sign. Is anyone else at this stage that had to have a cvs earlier on?

Snowwhite2020 · 12/07/2020 22:01

@lionsmum I do not want to disclose too much on mumsnet general forums. I had a call from the place I will get the scan on Friday (they always call a day or two ahead to confirm) and was told DH could come in. I do hope you get the same good news. Having said that, I did have to get something else checked in hospital on Friday and DH was not allowed in to that but my feeling is that all of this might change by tomorrow... fingers crossed for you! Xx

lionsmum · 12/07/2020 22:09

@Snowwhite2020 Oh not at all don't worry! That's lovely hope you both enjoy the experience together! I gather even if my DH can't come in for this one it means my area hopefully can't be far away from letting partners in, so that's good news, if not this one then fingers crossed then next one! Thank you! Hope all goes well for you tomorrow😊xx

lionsmum · 12/07/2020 22:12

@CBhope can't offer any advice re cvs as my DS's illness was only picked up, almost by accident, at 33 weeks so very different. But wishing you well & best of luck for tomorrow xx

PipTed · 12/07/2020 23:04

@RestorationInsanity I’ll let you know what they say when I finally manage to speak to someone.

@chubbyhotchoc thank you, yours looks so neat!

PipTed · 12/07/2020 23:07

Aww my OH just felt the baby kick. It’s been going wild today, I think it’s because I had some cake yesterday and some (low fat) ice cream today. Obviously sugar helps spur on movement!

So lovely for him to finally feel it! 🥰

lockdown84 · 13/07/2020 07:23

Bookmarking on this thread. I’ve missed you all. I have my 20 week scan next Monday - same as you @Asianchick6693 I’ll be 20+4 then. Hoping husband can come but not getting hopes up too much. More hopeful baby is doing ok - not feeling much here yet (ftm, 19+4)

Asianchick6693 · 13/07/2020 07:30

@lockdown84 I need to ring them and see if hubby can make it. I'll be 20+1. I don't want to get hopeful but I'm so eager for him to see little baba. I'm also ftm, I feel baby most mornings and night time in bed when I'm not doing anything. I'm sure your baby is fine, MW said it can take up to 22-24 weeks to start feeling movement for some mothers.

peachypetite · 13/07/2020 07:36

I’m London based and husband wasn’t allowed in. Maybe for my October scan?

chubbyhotchoc · 13/07/2020 08:52

Ugh ready to cry today. Scan this morning and we have a house viewing this afternoon so I have this whole house to clean which equates to 12 rooms. Started it yesterday doing all the windows while dh decided to go on a bike ride for the whole afternoon 😡
